He nodded, noticing what seemed like disinterest. He sucked air in through his teeth, hoping she hadn't noticed. Wormpaw just felt like a burden to this she-cat. Why'd she even take me in? The question swirled through his brain, though he tried his best to ignore it.

The smoky black tom nodded and thought for a moment "Wildpaw taught me some stuff before she-" He paused, why were all of his friends terrible or missing? "Before she went missing-" Had he told Golden about his complicated relationship with Wildpaw? how she'd confessed to having a crush on him and how the thought of it made him feel nauseous?

He sighed, anyway, no point in dwelling on it... maybe she'd show up again someday. Wormpaw cleared his throat as he crouched, his paws about a shoulder's width apart. He clumsily scurried forward, his paw steps fairly heavy and loud.

Goldenwhisker narrowed her eyes. Though she wasn't very fond of kits and apprentices, she needed to help them for the sake of her clan. Well... She started, staring at his uneven crouch. You need to equally transfer your weight onto all of your paws. She meowed, looking around before meeting it's eye.

Wormpaw hummed softly as he padded a bit away before repeating what it'd done before, but a lot quieter now. He grinned looking up at her, flicking his non-tattered ear. The smoky black apprentice looked towards her, trying to read her expression, narrowing his eyes a bit.

Goldenwhisker rolled her eyes. Do you think the prey will just fall in your mouth, while you're humming like that? She snapped, staring into his hetreochromic eyes. She slammed her paw down the grass in front of him, flexing her claws. Between them were clumps of gray fur.
