Morningkit realized she had took things too far. She stepped back, watching the apprentice who had burst into tears. She racked her brain, trying to remember how her father had taught her to say sorry... to... cats like Sunrisepaw. She slowly lowered her head, pressing her ears back. It was quite embarrising for her, but she didn't want the 'paw to cry anymore.

Sunrisepaw looked up. She was... apologizing? No one who bullied her apologized to her. They usually just walked away or kept mocking her. She wiped her tears and then looked at the kit. She just nodded. And then got up and lixked their forehead. It meant friend. Or I like you. @Crown_Sage

Morningkit shrank back. She didn't know what that one meant. Now that the poor apprentice had cried, she felt bad. She knew what it felt like. To have no one. She couldn't help herself from blurting out, Can't you speak one word? She looked down at her paws, hoping she hadn't hurt the she-cat's feelings.

Sunrisepaw gulped. What? She didn't know what they were saying. Could she impress them? Make them be a better cat? She had been practicing time for a long time. She took a deep breath and then said. "I S-Sunrisepaw." She told them. @Crown_Sage

Morningkit tilted her head. Okay, Sunrisepaw. The small she-kit tried acting like she didn't know already. I'm Morningkit. She meowed, even though she knew that Sunrisepaw wouldn't be able to hear her.
