Owlthroat waited for a response but found none. ”As silent as your name I suppose, battle training it is.” He rumbled, he’d soon find out whether he was any good.

Owlthroat found himself moving over to an edge of the clearing, sparse enough to fit flying paws. His body lowering into a typical battle stance. ”I’ll presume Newtbelly has covered the basics with you, dodging, simple attacks?”

It was good to know Owlthroat wasn't stupid. Not like he'd thought he was, but he'd met a couple strange warriors in his life. With a subtle nod, the apprentice followed the warrior to the edge of the clearing. Battle. That sounded good. Something he actually enjoyed doing. Silentpaw nodded again at Owlthroat's question, observing the warrior's battle stance. Newtbelly had never taught him how to properly do it, he had just... Picked up on it after watching other apprentices and warriors.

Having a cat so quiet to train was rather refreshing, Owlthroat hoped that came with ample observation skills. ”I’ll allow you to use your claws against me whilst sparring, don’t be silly with that, aim for reasonable places.” Owlthroat’s voice rung lowly.

He’d cover some advanced techniques then let him spar it out. ”Shoulder grabs and launching onto the back of a warrior can be effective, especially if they’re on the bigger side like myself. Another thing to consider is the tail, typically the only thing which keeps an enemy balanced.” Owlthroat paused for a second, considering what to cover next, perhaps some of his dirtier fighting tricks.

”To debilitate aim for eyes and nose, soft spots like the belly bleed the most. Permanent injury can be done with thick slices to the tendons at the back of the paws. Just avoid this on me.” He spat the last words out, Silentpaw would get a good slapping if he tried any of those.

”Understood?” It’d be interesting seeing the product of Newtbelly’s training. Had he really taught him well? Owlthroat hoped so, he liked a challenge.

As soon as Owlthroat began explainingthe techniques, Silentpaw could guess this wasn't a simple "paw swpe lesson". He nodded along, maing mental notes of everything the warrior was teaching him. His own mentor had yet to teach him these things, but he didn't mind that a warrior other than his mentor was doing it instead. Surely he can't stick to one cat training him forever, right? And the best part was that he could use his claws. Neat. Newtbelly had not allowed unsheathed claws while training, not that he minded, anyway. He knew the results of using claws could range from small nicks to large gashes, so he'd always be careful with going too far.

The apprentice flexed his claws briefly and looked to Owlthroat. Nodding an affirmaton, he scanned the warrior, already planning the first few techniques he'd use on him.

"MREEOW!!" Whitekit Yowls pouncing on shadowkit.

"MWOWW!!" Shadowkit yowls.


"HOW DARE YOU FIGHT A AWSOME MEDICINE CAT!!" Whitekit Yowls playfully as she amagines herself fighting her brother who is amagening to be an enime warrior.

"I DO WHAT I WANT MWHA HA HA!!" Shadowkit yowls playfully.
