...... Mr Pats had no answers. Why did Hawkbite have no answers he always had answers he knows everything! He was just as baffled as Bleedingpaw, the apprentice could see through that bluff easy!
Huffing as he again inspected his paw then the tree, eyes narrow the toms ears twitched, acknowledging Hawkbites words and showing that he was listening even as he raised a paw again to repeat the blow. He would be figuring this out and fast, not wanting to accidentally hurt Mr Pats while training or anyone not an enemy for that matter, so down the paw went. Aaaaaand nothing happened, only normal claw marks scoring the wood, nothing like the shattering blow from before. Hmmmm....
"I thiiiiiink I can only do it occasionally? Like my arm feels sore now, not hurt sore or too tired sore just kinda 'did a lot' sore. Plus Im not feeling the umpf I felt before so I'll need rest. But Im good to continue today! I can do more Im not too tired, promise!"
Bleedingpaw wasnt a weakling baby! He was tough and resilient and was gonna do super well and make Hawkbite even more proud and learn everything the older tom could teach so he could be as amazing as possible for him like the enforcer commander was! He wouldnt be as great a fighter sure, but he'd be good, he was determined.
"Uuummmm if you feel up for it Id like to learn the best way to bite and where to aim? Mama says some wounds are worse then others because of the placement so some spots gotta be better to hit right? If you dont wanna stop now."
Advanced moves, which he really wanted to learn, could come later but this was still basics. Which was something he wanted to have down pat by the end of today so he could practice and train/spar with other apprentices. He'd back down happily if Hawkbite was tired and wanted to stop but for now he was itching to continue.
Especially after the praise that'd lifted his spirits so and given him such hope in his skills.
