* He shook his head. *
" I don't why. Yeah, actually had to live in a twolegs den with a dog for a couple of moons. "
* He looked back towards where camp was. He longed to return to his mate. *
" My life as an outsider brings back some bad memories. I think I'm gonna make my way back to camp. Make sure that rogue hasn't crossed the border then head on back. "

Her eyes widened, almost comically. "A dog? Wow thats crazy! Twolegs are insane!" Bunnybounce then nodded, understandably at his words. "Oh, okay! Uh, see you later then?" She dug her claws into the ground, excitement coursing through her. Bunnybounce looked on to the toms back once he had began leaving and then once she figured he was a good distance away, turned tail and quickly bounded back to where she had met Adonis. "Adonis? Are you still around?"

* He had left, but his scent still held in the air. Easily if Bunnybounce wanted to she could follow. His trail visible and in the distance soft pawsteps could be heard. *

Bunnybounce scented the air, narrowing her eyes. After a moments hesitation she shrugged and began to follow the scent, tail up in the air. Who cares, as long as she got back before night and brought prey back, it's not like she was needed for anything important.
( sure thing! take your time:3 just mention me )

The deputy's feelings on Lightningstorms sprog were.... Complex. On one hand as the children of his friends he wanted to kinda be involved in their life but he couldnt quite detach the circumstances of their birth from them. There wasnt anything wrong with them, bar perhaps Littlepaws prey pile incident, but he'd found approaching much less making a connection a hard thing to do. Especially given in his personal opinion it was better for their mother that she not recall their existence at all, even if it'd deprive them of her. Lightningstorm was better, happier, without the memories she'd lost even if the good of their birth was included in that.
So maybe it was guilt that prompted this training, but Crowtooth kept that clear off his face as he'd gathered Windpaw and Littlepaw up and lead them out to the territory. "Aaaaaalrighty you two! Yall excited ta learn ta hunt finally? Ita a big step ta take, especially since yer Ma Firestorm is known as one o' the best hunters in the clan~ Maybe yer gonna 'ave her talent, wouldnt that be cool~ It'd be great fer windclan too, wit' winter comin' we need all the huntin' paws we can get."

Windpaw was ecstatic when she was brought with Littlepaw to train. Perhaps even more. But she wasn't going to bounce all over the place, only kits did that! And she for sure wasn't a kit anymore. Windpaw grinned at Crowtooth, dual coloured eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Yep, I'm excited! I've been waiting for this moment!" The tabby tortoiseshell's ears perked at the menton of Firestorm, and she brightened up even more, if that was even possible. "Oh, is that so? That's awesome!" She turned to Littlepaw, playfully nudging her with a shoulder. Her voice lowered, just barely above a whisper. "I bet I could be a better hunter than you!" She giggled, eyes narrowing mischievously.
Her strides came out more as skips than anything else as she followed the deputy and her sister into the territory. The skips were accompanied by eyes of wonder as she stared at the territory around them. So vast and open. Littlepaw had the intrusive thoughts to run. Run and run and run. Her paws itched to skedaddle, but she knew better than to do that on her first outing. Besides, she had to look good in front the deputy of all cats!!
"I'm SOOO ready to hunt! I wanna run 'n chase! Gonna make FireMa soooo proud!" Littlepaw confirmed the thoughts, grinning at his comment about their mama. Then, her ears would twitch at Windpaw's comment. Her mouth agape at the comment, she narrowed in a competitive look and waved her tail around. "Imma be better than you!" she'd trill before bounding forward a couple paces to help ease the itch in her paws.
tappity tap tap
She'd skip about in front of Crowtooth before falling back in line.
It was getting late and the apprentices were taking a bit more time hunting than Twilightstar had expected. The clan leader kept her ears pricked but did wander a bit away to do some hunting of her own. She did not hunt for anything specific and caught whatever appeared in her path first.
Her mouth was open and her stance tense as she tasted the air. The prairie was not all that rich with prey this time of season, but she could smell traces of rabbit, vole, and mouse. The scent of a mouse was heavy to the left. She continued to creep forward slowly, her ears perking for sounds of the mouse moving among the long grass.
It took a few moments of slow stalking forward before she could see it, through some bushes just ahead of her, nibbling at a seed. She froze, creeping as close as she could, and pounced with her claw coming down on the mouse's back before it could run. She finished it off quickly and dropped it in some long grass before hunting for something else.
She caught the strong scent of vole and dropped into a crouch following the scent forward slowly. The leader lowered herself into a hunting crouch as she spotted the vole nosing through the grass. A shift in the wind had the vole bolting, but Twilightstar pounced in its path, slamming her paws down onto it and biting its neck quickly. That was two, she grabbed the vole by its tail after stopping to grab her mouse and headed back toward the apprentices. However, the sight of a nearby bird had her setting her prey down.
She immediately crouched, creeping forward slowly. Soon enough, she could see the bird just ahead of her, pecking at a seed on the ground. She crept forward slowly, ears perked forward, and waited a moment longer, watching the bird, before lunging. The bird immediately tried to fly away but Twilightstar swatted it back down, killing it with a quick swipe of the claws. She picked the bird up in her jaw, along with the mouse and vole, and waited for the apprentices.
| Snowybreeze | 31 Moons - WindClan Warrior
Heightened Perception [Smell] - Active | Rapid Recovery - Inactive | The Collector - Inactive | Not Skiddin' Around - Active
Not a second after Daffodilpaw had thrown praise his way did Snowybreeze find his ears burning up in embarrassment, thoroughly unsure of how to respond. While it was definitely heartening to realize that he had something in common with his apprentice - outside of their pale fur color and lighter eyes - the tom did not handle praise well. Or rather at all. Because... well... Goodness. Cats like him were really not worthy of any praise. He had simply been born with a strong nose, and due to his overly large size and clumsier nature had decided that perhaps tracking was a better way of utilizing his skills for the clan than being a sprinter and hunter. He could of course hunt. Had been well trained to, but he used his nose for most anything.
"O-oh. Oh. Gosh. No. Nothing. Nothing special. Or awesome. About. It. I don't. I don't think... B-but. I would. Be happy. To take you. Out. Hunting. Later. Perhaps. We could. Talk about. Your training. And we. Could add this. To it. As. An extra- Extracurricular," he mewed bashfully, one massive paw flying to the back of his head as he pawed at his ear uncomfortably, attempting to dispel the heat that refused to let go of it.
Gratefully, the oversized warrior was spared the need to stammer anything else as Dustbunny stepped forward, her explanation on how to best get the roots much needed for the admittedly inexperienced tom. Mismatched ears perked up as he took in her work, he stared in wonder, noticing how well her large paws - so similar to his, really - could dexterously move around the dirt and leave the roots unharmed. Back when he had been a kit and apprentice - and early in his warrior life, if he were to be honest - his paws had always been a curse. Making him trip and stumble at every step. He had long since stopped tripping everywhere. His gait, while lacking in confidence was now more secure. Safe for the gentle giant. He wondered if perhaps, with practice, he would be able to make his own paws be as expert and careful as the tunneler's were. Probably not. He wasn't the type of cat to excel at anything. But gosh... he could most certainly try!
Turning to a patch of burnet himself, the tom kept in mind what the tunneler had explained, keeping his distance. Making sure to not be too harsh with the soil around the actual flower itself. It was a slow, methodical task, but a calming one. The scent was overpowering to his nose the more he dug out. Once the first one had been secured and the seeds had been dispersed into the wind courtesy of a rather loud, disruptive sneeze - eep - his nose was officially compromised, unable to smell anything other than the blasted herb at this point. But it was alright. He had done his job. He would suffer through the sneezes and the stuffy nose. It was a small price to pay for his clan to be safe. Just... best get two or three to make sure the medicine cat wasn't sending him out for more sooner rather than later. He wasn't sure his nose would be able to handle the punishment.
"I-is. Is every- Every- ACHOO! Oh... Oh goodness. Is everyone. Finished?" Snowybreeze asked as he cleaned his third - and final - root. He doubted a fourth would survive him at this point.
Daffodilpaw beamed at Snowybreeze, nodding excitedly. “That sounds awesome!” She purred. The better she got control over her nose, the better. She had been coasting by with it so far, but having a mentor with experience in dealing with it was a great opportunity! And knowing Snowybreeze would be there, after she’s been made a warrior, was a comfort.
She moved her attention back to the task at paw, and put her nose to the ground as Snowybreeze had done. Trying to track down another burdock plant and proceeded to carefully and meticulously pull out the root as she had done before and reburying the top of the plant. She repeated this process again, then looked up to see what her mentor and Dustbunny were doing. Setting the new roots down with the first one she dug out.
+2 burdock root, total 3
When Snowybreeze asked - or rather, sneezed - if the rest of the patrol was ready, she purred with amusement and nodded. “I’ve got a good bundle here!” She chirped, carefully gathering her burdock roots together.
