Rabbitfoot emerged from the warrior's den with a twitch of his whiskers, letting his eyes adjust to the sun before promptly bounding over to the apprentices' den. "Windpaw! It's time to start training." The tom called into the den before taking a seat with his tail wrapped nearly around his paws. No apprentice of his was going to even get the chance to be called lazy. They must get right to work.

However, he had a good feeling about Windpaw. She seemed very eager after her ceremony, which to Rabbitfoot felt like a good indicator of her initiative. Yes, he would turn her into a fine warrior. "If you're fast enough, we'll start with hunting instead of a border tour."

First night in the Apprntices' Den was as exciting as watching a rock roll down a hill. And Windpaw loved rocks! So it was great! And she couldn't wait to start her training with Rabbitfoot. The warrior seemed nice enough, and that was good, because Windpaw didn't know how she would deal with a mean or strict mentor. Shudder.

The tabby tortoiseshell's ears perked up when she heard a familiar voice call her from outside. Rabbitfoot! It was time to start her training! She scrambled rather clumsily to her paws and padded out with a happy trot, and stopped in front of Rabbitfoot.

"Hi! I'm here," she grinned, eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Can we get started with hunting? A territory tour is fine, too! I like knowing our territory. It seems fun! But hunting sounds awesome too!"

Blinking in surprise at his apprentice's energy, Rabbitfoot took a moment to clear his throat before composing himself. "Yes, yes. We'll start with hunting. You need to learn the inside of our territory as well as the borders, but the borders can wait." He mewed gruffly before turning and beginning to pad towards the camp entrance. "Besides, rabbit tastes better when you catch it yourself."

Eventually the pair would end up in Windy Hills. "Okay, Windpaw. First thing is first. What do you scent?" Rabbitfoot glanced up at the sky. "And stay close. Birds of prey are found here, often flying in the sky."
