Sorry, this may be a dumb question. Can a cat have schizophrenia, or something like it? Like, maybe they see a cat that taunts them but the cat isn't real

Nope! I'm saying just maybe like a cat they see, or don't even see that taunts them. The cat has never existed and is just in their brain

totally allowed in fact I know of one in current rp! Treetiger of thc has a 'friend' who has been tormenting him his whole life but is in fact an aspect of treetigers own mind. Poor guy has no clue friend isnt real and is actively ruining his life.


However, if you want the schizophrenic entities to have physical effects (ie, beyond being non corporeal hallucinations that dont exist) then you will need to use purrks like monkeys paw. If you do use monkeys paw they may have some ability to effect the real world but thats up to negotiation.


As always do your research before rping mental conditions to make sure you are accurate and always be mindful but fire away on your kitty idea!

for just base schizophrenia where the voice/presence is a hallucination of the cat in question and doesnt actually exist irl and cant be seen/interacted with by other cats? No purrks are needed as long as its realistic youre allowed to just have cats with mental disorders, no permission or anything needed to do so.


If you ever wanna change it and make the hallucination become a 'real' thing and start being able to effect the real world you will need to buy monkeys paw and negotiate with staff.
