The Windclan warrior acted fast, she quickly snapped her jaw shut on Fallenpaw's scruff, yanking backward in an attempt to keep both of them from tumbling over the cliff and into the icy cold waters below.

She used her front legs to push off backward, forcing herself to fall onto her back, Fallenpaw likely being pulled back along with her. She only let go once she was sure both of them were safe. She stared at the cliff's edge with widened green orbs, finding herself subconsciously scooting farther away from the cliff.

She never had such a close call in her life, she was normally more careful but she hadn't even noticed that she was nearing the Riverclan border. She took deep breathed, trying to calm her now horribly frayed nerves.

Her thoughts quickly moved back onto her daughter, her worried green gaze shooting over to Fallenpaw "Fallenpaw! Are you alright?" She asked, the whole situation probably only lasted a second, but at the moment she felt like she'd been dangling her kit over the river for an eternity.

Fallenpaw let out a cry of alarm, bracing herself to plunge into the icy depths of the river. She sighed with relief when she felt her mother's teeth piercing her scruff and hauling her to safety. Taking a deep breath, she leaned against Daywhisper, looking up to meet her green gaze. Had she disappointed her mother, again? I'm okay. Fallenpaw purred, but it was slightly broken. I'm sorry, mama. Are you okay? She shivered, pressing into the warmth of her mother's fur.

Daywhisper took a deep breath, finally relaxing, fully confident they were safe now "Good" she said firmly with a nod. She frowned 'i'm sorry' "Falls, you have nothing to be sorry about, it's my fault for not paying more attention if anything" She said leaning down, giving Fallenpaw an affectionate nuzzle

"I'm just glad that you're safe" she said with a soft sigh, she slowly rose to her paws, leaning down to offer Fallen help to get up, a soft smile on her face.

Fallenpaw nodded, leaning against her mother to get up. Now, what were we supposed to do? She asked, trying to lighten the mood. Lately, she had been having weird dreams...

She thought for a moment "well- this is the Riverclan border, obviously" She laughed awkwardly, her tail tip twitching behind her "We can go to the Shadowclan border next- It'll hopefully be safer than here" She half-joked, though at least there they couldn't fall of a cliff and drown. She padded back away from the ledge in the direction of the Shadowclan border.

She paused to look back, making sure her daughter was following

Fallenpaw raced after her mother, glad to get away from the yucky fish scent of RiverClan. Is there prey near the ShadowClan border? She asked, her stomach growling.

"mm- sort of-" She said wrinkling her nose as the smell of Shadowclan soon took over every single smell.

"There's lots of frogs there, there's stuff we eat there too but not as much- The Thunderclan border is the most plentiful if I recall" she said humming in thought.

The outsiders' border was also pretty good for hunting, no one to accuse you of stealing prey either. She sighed softly, it'd now been about two moons since Crow had offered to join Windclan, which had been followed by Twilightstar commanding the clan to either chase away or kill outsiders on site.

She frowned, her gaze falling to the ground.

We should go- Fallenpaw broke off, frowning as she saw her mother look down. She didn't like it when Daywhisper's eyes were filled with hurt. What'sa matter, mama? She mewed, nudging her mother. Did I do something bad? She fretted, sniffing the air. @seeingstars

Daywhisper's gaze lifted to meet her daughter's confusion flashed in them for a moment before concern "I just miss you father... Ever since Twilightstar told us to turn away outsiders I've been... scared to meet him because what if I get caught and he ends up getting..." She couldn't finish the sentence, she shook her head.

"of course not Falls, you could never do anything wrong" She said, rushing over to nuzzle her daughter "You and your brother are the best things that have ever happened to me" she murmured, purring loudly.

Okay Mama. Fallenpaw layed down against her mother, purring to comfort her. Are we ever gonna see my father again? She mewed, lifting her head.
