Ashpaw looked around, trying to locate the rabbit. It’s moving, he whispered. The apprentice stood where he was, without moving. Finally, he found where the rabbit was — or at least supposedly was. Crouching in the grass, he slowly approached the rabbit.
When he was relatively close, he stopped. Checking that he was downwind of the rabbit, he took one more step forward. Then he leaped. In mid-air, he tried to put his paws at the area where the rabbit was — but still missed. The rabbit jumped away and almost escaped, but it reacted too slowly, and Ashpaw got the time to catch him. He then killed it as Daywhisper instructed.
Daywhisper • She / Her • Windclan warrior • 35+moons
Daywhisper had been watching the entire time, trailing him silently "That was very good! I'm impressed! I didn't even catch my first rabbit!" She praised him, purring in response.
"you need to work on your crouch a little more- It'll help with your landing but otherwise, you did wonderfully!" She said with a nod, glancing up towards the sky.
By this time, the sun was barely peaking over the horizon, she hummed softly in thought "We... should probably get back to camp before it gets too dark" She said, turning her green gaze back to her apprentice.

Ashkit was happy by his mentor compliments and smiled. He then nodded when Daywhisper told him what to change. He was really lucky to have gotten her as a mentor.
“Wha— oh, right” he answered, looking at the sky too. It was indeed starting to get late, and even though Ashpaw didn’t mind being out in the dark too much, it was more dangerous. “Yeah, better get back to camp.” he took a step then stopped. “Uhh, which way is camp again?”
