Echobarley smiled with a little bounce in his walk. Following a cat he assumed was Antpaw he made his way to Cedarstrike.
He shivered a bit, but took at look around, trying to see if he could recognise his patrolmates.

Hollybristle ThunderClan Warrior
Flock Together Tier 1
She / Her ; 24 Moons
Hollybristle´s ears perked up as Spiderthroat assigned to to the Thunderglade with Smokefang, Skunkridge, and Sparrowpelt. Looking around, she tried to catch sight of her patrolmates (Sparrowpelt was nowhere to be found).
´´Smokefang? Skunkridge?´´ Hollybristle called out for the cats. ´´Sparrowpelt?´´
The she-cat frowned and turned to Spiderthroat. ´´If you´d like, Spiderthroat,´´ Hollybristle dipped her head respectfully. ´´If Sparrowpelt doesn´t show, I can bring Charredpaw [ @SnackingShoelaces ] along with Smokefang, Skunkridge, and myself.´´
Smokefang, the double faced He/him
Thunderclan Warrior
So he was going to the ThunderGlade... Very well... He was fine with that!
Smokefang popped his neck, rolled his shoulders, ans stood up, ready to go, but just as he started looking around for his patrolmates...
Hollybristle called out.
He pinpointed her location in the crowd, and padded over, silently, feigning calm because it was him who was supposed to be the patrol leader and command the others...
"I'm ready to go..."
He said silently.
But he wasn't about to make a fuss over it, as Spiderthroat was right there. So he would let that slide... Even if it left a bitter taste of discontent in his mouth... He just had to play pretend, like he did for so long...
But still, it slightly annoyed him, a slight flick of the ear betraying that...
[ @anika (don't take Smokefang's behaviour seriously, it's not my thoughts, it's just his personnality. Just to make that clear.)
"I am ash... I am embers... My flames once danced bright. My flames now fade... But it returns from the depths... The fire devours me whole... It's the birth of something greater..."
Sparrowpelt came late. Late, but he was there. His heavy paw steps were noticeable from a distance as he made his way from the nursery. The kits were his priority lately, he hardly made the time for normal warrior routines. So, when Spiderthroat called the first time, naturally the tom zoned it out. The second time, however, made him move.
"I'm here! Ready to go whenever!" he chimed, smiling regardless of the situation.
[I have 0 access to my laptop until tomorrow, I apologize for this bad response tonight]

"We are patrolling! This patrol is going to be so fun! Do we get to fight off a badger? I want to chase off a badger! That badger would be so scared of me!!" Beepaw jumped around Cedarstrike, excitement barley contained. "Oh what if we find an outsider in the territory? Are we going to chase them off? This is going to be so fun!"

| Sprucejumper | 14 Moons - ThunderClan Warrior
Kitty Softpaws [T2] - Active | Ultimate Predator - Inactive | Agatha Kitty - Active | Not Skiddin' Around - Active
A blink of his deadpanned eyes showing that he had heard the deputy's orders, Sprucejumper inwardly groaned. He didn't mind border patrols much, as long as there was no fighting. He still got to hunt, and he tended to mark the border just fine while he was at it. No. It was the size of the patrol and the fact that he was leading it what coaxed his inner discomfort. Leading meant talking. No thanks. Pass.
Blank emerald expression turning to face the gathered cats, he payed attention for once to the names given him. Nightgaze, Milkbee, and Snowpaw. Yep. He wouldn't be remembering those. Not to mention he had no idea who any of them were. Maybe he really should consider talking to his clanmates a little more often, if only to know who the hell he was being assigned to patrols with all the time, because ThunderClan obviously had infinite cats. Not once had he repeated a patrol with the same felines. A pity. He thought him and Sentinel had gotten along splendidly. They still didn't talk sometimes. Couldn't ask for a better clanmate.
"Departing," the chocolate point stated matter-of-factly.
Sprucejumper had one too many patrols in which he'd had to leave all by his lonesome before. Considering all the cats he had been assigned were here - well, all but Snowpaw - he doubted that would be the case this time around, but they had to make it to the border. That was far. He would like to not take all day, if that was all the same to them. The outing portion of the patrol? Fantastic? The being stuck with three other cats he didn't know? Much less so.
The kitten hadn't seen her father much as of late, unable to get on his nerves and ruffle his fur. She'd even gone looking for him in the warrior's den that one time, to little avail, and it had Spiderlingkit restless; up to a bit more trouble than normal, sometimes, but most of all bored. A strange concept with a whole twelve brothers and sisters to bother, but she liked bothering Spiderthroat! She liked being his little troublesome shadow, always causing chaos in both their wakes.
Not to mention her recent embarrassment at the meeting. Hmpf. Who would have thought aunty Bumble would still be angry about the gathering? It's been moons, and she's been good all things considered!
Her claws knead the ground below, thinking if there were any insects she could catch today. Maybe she could scare some kits with them, too, until that familiar voice rung within her drums and any plans for the day broke away and were replaces with a single goal in mind. A wide smile spread across her maw, and waiting until Spiderthroat had finally finished calling for all the patrols, she made her move.
"Daddy!"
The megaphone of a kit announced her presence as she bounded upwards, trying to wrap her paws around the deputy's throat in a big bear hug. "It has been ages, where have you been? Firefly, Wasp, Beetle n Butterfly have ALL become apprentices (without me, Bleh!) n you weren't even there."
She pouted, assuming the kitten was practically hanging around his neck (more sitting atop his back with her paws around him), she reached out a paw to insistently prod his cheek and try to look him in the eye. "You better not leave again. I missed you, daddy. M sure we all did."
The sun was setting and it was clear that Acornpaw wasn’t going to join her and Honeypetal on patrol. Vi was a bit annoyed but not overly so. Not her problem. She stalked in with the poppy heads and dropped them at Wolfpaw’s… well, paws. "Here ‘ya go. I got four of em, Honeypetal got two of ‘em. Acornpaw met us in camp but never ended up leaving, I guess. Didn’t see her out with us." A shame, really, the apprentice had seemed excited to go. Ah, well.
Acornpaw bursts into camp, out of breath and her fur fluffed up. She completely lost track of her patrol! She wandered off to find poppies & strayed too far from the group, next thing she knows, they've already left! She heaves labored breaths as she scans the camp for her patrol mates, sucking up a big gulp of air as she sees them before using her last bit of energy to sprint over.
"Whew- I'm... I'm sorry-" She pants, looking up at the faces now surrounding her, "I strayed... too far away. So sorry... ran all the way here-"
The worst part of it all is probably that she forgot to ask what poppies looked like- she really gets ahead of herself sometimes. After a couple moments to catch her breath, she can speak better, hopefully she's not in too deep a trouble.
"I should've stayed with the group, I shouldn't have wandered off. I was pretty useless to you guys, I'll do better in the future." She says aploogetically, her expression sincere.
Ah, the countless lessons on manners from her mother must still be branded into her memory. She used to get lectured often in her kithood, so the elements of a proper apology has been practically sewn into her very being.

- A large dark brown tom with a darker back and lighter underbelly, a missing hind leg -
Late. The medic frowned as violetfreckle came in alongside Honeypetal. The brown tom nodded as the warrior reported her findings. Seems like Acornpaw didn't show. He parted his jaws to speak but quickly shut them as the apprentice came running in. Separated from the group, okay. Yeah. "Lettin you off with a warning. Stay with your group next time," Wolfpaw told them, dismissing them with a wave of his tail.
[ Since it was only a bit after velli posted that acorn came in, she will be exempt from punishment and be let off with a warning ]
