Watching his kittens race over to him filled his chest with joy. Daddy. He adored it when his kits called him dad. Watching them have a good natured race, he would perk his ears up.

"Don't get too tuckered, kiddos!" He warned, smiling and stifling a chuckle. "You won't be able to tackle the big bad fox if your tired!" He let out a rumbling meow, stomping his paws on the dirt as he laid down.

Oh no you don't! Yarrowkit let out a fierce battle cry (or...shrill squeaking sound depending on your perspective) and moved her legs as fast as possible. Three times harder should do it! C'mon legs! The next fiercest warrior of the clan couldn't be held back from something so simple due to something as trite as leg length! Pshah! Alas, if anything she was only going to be ahead of Black-kit by a whisker. Yarrowkit needed to think fast.

Fox you say? Daddy wanted to be a fox? That could work! As soon as she was close enough, as her front paws hit the ground, she bunched up her hind legs under her tightly and pushed herself off the ground. Her target: Tuftedtusk's head.

Mimickit had planned to step out of the Nursery for some time away from the loud kits in the Nursery, but instantly regretted when he saw two of his littermates already outside. He physically recoiled at Yarrowkit and Blackkit's loud calls, frowning. But instead of heading back into the Nursery, he lingered right outside it, paws tucked underneath him. He watched as his father spoke to the otehr two. Hm. Okay. So rule number 1. Don't get tired. Conserve your energy. Simple enough. He scowled again at Yarrowkit's shrill cry, biting back the urge to hiss and snarl at her.
