SOMETIMES MY MIND DON'T SHAKE AND SHIFT
BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT DOES

WHITERABBIT . 21 MOONS . SHE/HER . WINDCLAN
It's getting to be that time where even a brisk run can't warm her up for long, so Whiterabbit's sat herself down in an anemic sunny spot with high hopes that it'll do the rest for her. Coarse white coat bristled against the chill, sleepy eyes narrowed, almost-shut. If she doesn't focus on it she might even be able to sneak a nap on out here...only, that thought by its own all but guarantees she'll get no such satisfaction. Guh! Whiterabbit groans her irritation into a big, theatrical yawn and flops onto her side in defeat, docked tail and wiry limbs packed in all neat.
Maybe in a little bit, she'll hunt for Quailpaw. Or maybe she'll excuse herself out to the Sky Glade for...for no reason. Or maybe she'll eat, or go for another run, or, ororor—
Ah. But that's a lot of maybes to consider. So many maybes it hurts. Maaaaybe that means laying here is her best option, since it's the thing she's already doing. Look at that: swift and decisive problem-solving. Go, her.
EGRETKIT she/her . 2 moons . dark brown and lilac tabby with dappling with cream markings and blue eyes
[ sticky pads ]
egretkit is pleased when her cousin doesn't shuffle away, instead allowing her to sit closer to her for warmth. and answering more of her questions. gosh, cardinalkit is as smart as the big cats in the clan! which is crazy, because she's a baby, like herself. according to her cousin, cardi, all the seasons are equally as long. leafbare just feels longer. also, her papa is part snow, by the sounds of it. so is strawbs and cardi. this is a lot of information for her brain to process!
"oh," the kit simply says. "that's awesome! maybe you, your papa, and strawbs can all go out when you're old enough, and catch like..a ga-billion prey! but I want snowy fur, too! d'you think mine'll change?" a silly question, but she doesn't know that her fur can't change. though, if it could, that'd be cool. if she had snowy fur like cardinalkit, her papa, and strawberrykit ..well, she wouldn't look much like her own mama and papa. which would be pretty sad. "wait, no! I know! I could just cover myself in snow, like a, um..a...uhmm..oh! dis-keyes." she reasons, unaware of her horrible pronunciation.
onto the next question cardinalkit answers. which, she giggles at simply because of the silly nickname she gave firesis. her eyes widen at her cousin's suggestion, nodding rapidly. "yeah! that'd be, like..uh.." she pauses as she combines her litter with cardinalkit's, "a lot of apprentices! they wouldn't even need big cats to go hunt anymore, that's how many!" sorry papa and uncle crows, you'll have to retire. new wave of totally awesome unstoppable hunters coming through!
"I think if we just say please, miss twillystar will say yes!" egretkit offers. based on her single interaction with the leader, she considers miss twillystar her best friend, so of course she'll say yes.
KestralPaw watched as her mentor huffed in amusement and walked off, leaving her here to pick ticks off an elder with mouse bile.
"alright Owlclaw, I'm gonna get some bile..I'll be right back" she promised, her tail raising as she walked off toward the medicine den.
As she had promised, she came back, a small chunk of wet moss hanging cautiously in her jaws, when she reached the elder she sat, placing the moss down eyeing his fur, a tick crawled and she rubbed some bile on it, her nose scrunching at the smell.

Dandelionpaw WindClan Apprentice
She / Her ; 9 Moons
8 / 100
The mission was to knock Autumnpatch to the ground without using her claws and without injuring him. ´´I understand,´´ She mewed before stepping back and crouching before him, her amber eyes narrowing as she calculated exactly where she wanted to aim for.
Without hesitation as her eyes fixed on the place she´d aim for, Dandelionpaw launched herself forward and bowled into the warrior´s side. If she succeeded in knocking Autumnpatch off his paws, she would aim a soft blow at his ears with a snowy forepaw, her claws sheathed.

She came at him faster than he'd thought she would, with either blind luck that apprentices tended to have or that mentor of hers had taught her a thing or two in the time they'd spent together. Dandelionpaw's launch had hit him square in the side and with the force of a nearly-grown cat barreling into the larger tom, he couldn't keep his footing, and tumbled to the ground in a soft heap of snowy-and-ginger fur and quiet disappointment that he fell so quickly in their mock battle... to an apprentice. The little blow to his ears tickled in its softness, and his deep voice came with a purred chuckle. "Lucky shot," Autumnpatch mewed to keep his pride and his composure, but the tone wasn't mocking. "Do that, but on an enemy, you're not going to lose your guard when you knock them down."
Because he'd landed perfectly, as it happened, to gather his hind legs positioned to use them to kick her - lightly, with no claws involved, simulating what an opponent would Autumnpatch wanted to see how she'd react to this new stage of their faux battle. After all, in a live scenario, the opponent wouldn't coach her through it as a mentor or member of her Clan might.
