Midnightpaw exists the apprentince den, yawning slightly. They gazed around the clearing before loafing near the edge of the clearing. Their bright ivy green eyes, looked around before closing their eyes.
She smirked, a light pitter-patter of her paws a gentle rain on the ground. Her voice beckoned its own noise, disregarding the fact she'd been awful quiet earlier. The green appeared darker and then everything was okay. The world was a standstill and all that mattered now was this conversation.
"I'm getting stronger!"
Hickorykit dropped to a clumsy crouch, crunching any dry bedding that was lingering about. Dancing around delicate pieces, she stood back on four legs, smiling back up at her mom.
"See?"
...
A fog rolled in deep above the sky, reaching the stars and ground in one sitting. A thick mist clouded all of her senses, coating her nose in a tingling, sticky water. There were no more breaths to breathe, feeling her last gasps would soon be no more. Paws frozen over, rooted in cold water like a sick, twisted version of torture. She reached for the sky-where was the sky? No stars guided her vision, there was no more light. For all around her had turned to fog and she was going to die. The gentle mist became a trap encased around her neck, metallic taste staining her tongue. Behind everything was the small promise, no, the small hope that things would work out. The fog would clear and there would stand her trust. Alone but alone with her, to comfort and to stay with for eternity. But no trust stayed for eternity. So, now it would die with her. And now the bitter cold didn't seem all that bad, rather welcoming.
...
A violent shake of her paws got rid of all the dirt particles, but a muddy stain still kept itself. She sighed, hoping her mother wouldn't go crazy and fuss over it.
◖──────☛ mistpaw huffed "can I practice a hunting stance?" he asked, he knew hunting might be needed too...maybe..he could try. "ya know practice how I sneak on prey." he lowered his body on the ground and waved his tail a bit. ☚──────◗
Bloomingblaze thought for a moment, before she grinned "Sure! It'll help ya' when it comes to the real deal!" She stated enthusiastically "Now, ya' gotta keep y'r paws even and balanced, so ya' don't fall 'r wobble. Don't put y'r tail too high 'r too low. Can't really demonstrate that part for ya' cause, well, tiny tail. But let me show ya' what I can."
She then got into the hunting crouch, pressing herself low to the ground, but not low enough for her belly to touch, and kept her paws at balanced points. "Go'head and give it a try, kid!"
◖──────☛ the Tom watched and nodded to his mentors every word. okay, he can do this. he dropped into a crouch, tucked his paws in and had his tail at a medium height, his ears perked and he held himself steady. he tried creeping forward on nothing really, his paw steps slow. ☚──────◗
