Featherpaw shrunk back slightly from the kit. She didn't expect the kit to yell at her like that. Oh now she had to talk to Berryshine. She was the one who was perfectly fine, it was this kit that wasn't okay. 'Okay . . . just keep your cool Feather . . . Keep your cool . . .'. Featherpaw looked at Morningkit. "Look . . . it's not normal for someone to think they're dead when they're alive . . . I- I don't know . . . what to say . . . But . . ." she was at a loss of words.

Morningkit took a step closer, a dangerous glint in her eyes. Oh? You know what's not normal? She snarled, stopping less than a tail length away from Featherpaw. A dead cat to think she's alive. She paused, licking her shoulder. I wonder. Who could that be? She glared straight into Featherpaw's eyes.

Alright, if none of the queens were going to step in, she would. Descending from her den and placing a paw to break up the closeness of Morningkit and Featherpaw, Stormstar shot both cats a stern look. "Alright, break it up. What's goin' on, huh?" Normally playfights had a sense of lightness to them - this did not have that.

Featherpaw gave Stormstar a grateful glance, scrambling up to her paws. She shook out her fur and shot Morningkit a quick glare before turning to the RiverClan leader. How was she supposed to phrase this? "Well . . . She . . . uh-" Featherpaw really didn't know how to phrase it. "She thinks she's . . . uh . . . dead . . ." she said awkwardly. "And uh . . . she said that it's perfectly normal . . . and then . . . we started arguing . . . and she . . . started coming closer to me . . . I think she . . . wanted to attack me . . . or something . . ." Featherpaw looked at Stormstar, waiting for her to respond.
