It had been some time since Wrenseeker found herself willing to do much more than mope about in the stars. Her death had not been one she'd suffered willingly, and that damn eagle would have the claw marks to prove it. Wrenseeker, too, would've had the claw marks too... and the lack of eyes... but it is not self-pity that surges her to action today, no, it is the despair of a cat who has more weight on her shoulders than she should carry alone, a cat whom Wren had been begrudgingly fond of in life... and a cat she knew in death she had considered a friend.
Cobwebfern had been through a lot in her life, too much some might say, and now she had an extra burden to bear, an extra trauma to hold close to her chest. Wrenseeker, brash and abrasive as she may be, finds herself compelled to visit the medicine apprentice she had known before her death.
She has to wait for the tripod to fall asleep, but when the moment finally comes, silver smoke warrior with a pelt of stars wills the dreams of the medicine apprentice to change to a starry abyss, beautiful if not terrifyingly vast.
"Hey," she calls, urging the older cat to look to her, and when they do, they would be greeted by a sideways, snarky smile.
"Miss me?" Stupid question, they weren't close enough for Wren's death to have probably been much more to Cobwebfern than a simple frown before moving on. But Wren isn't really meaning what she's saying, more just breaking the ice. It's unlike her not to cut right to the chase but this... this is a delicate matter, and she
does have some amount of tact.
