The silver warrior was glad the other one decided to step up. She nodded at the reminder for precaution, though a little skeptical at splitting up the small group, Floodsight followed Amberdusk’s instructions.

She made her way along the border and nothing had really changed. Everything…seems normal. Though ShadowClan’s scent is slightly more faint than normal. She supposed they are due on patrol soon. If not today than another. The silver she-cat’s nose wrinkled. ’Stars, I hope it’s not today’ She’d rather not be patrolling the same time as them. Save them the energy to confront each other and put her far away from a scuffle. It wouldn’t look too pretty especially with an apprentice to look after.

Nothing seems off at all on this side, so Floodsight continued to mark all the places she check before backing off and heading back towards the group. Her dim blue eyes gazed upwards towards the dappled leaves and examined the tree tops. They were getting quite red these days. Leaf-fall is here.

With a final glance for any danger or issues, Floodsight headed towards Amberdusk and Featherpaw.

Featherpaw nodded and went down the border, and marked it the best she could. She didn't really know what she was doing, and she thinks she was doing it right. She went down the border a marked it, before heading back.

Featherpaw... didn't listen to them. "Featherpaw! The hell did I say? I said stay away from the border and watch me mark it, not help mark it!" How did Bug do this? Stars above their apprentice was a horrible listener. However much they wished to correct the apprentice with their claws, that would be a one-way ticket to exile.

"Five tail-lengths, Featherpaw." They corrected her, before moving to correct their apprentice's poorly-done marks.

"Alright, let's return. Just watch your flanks."

The black and brown cat turned around, beckoning with their tail for the other two to follow.

Upon approaching the small patrol, she could hear yelling starting and that alone scared Floodsight. She thought a scuffle started or something dreadful had gone wrong. 'Please no fights...RiverClan doesn't need that right now.' Floodsight didn't want to see more deaths so soon. As the silver warrior got closer to her patrolmates, she'd realized it was just Amberdusk lecturing her apprentice for not following.

Was that a little too harsh? Too loud? She was going to open her mouth to speak but stopped herself. It wasn't like she was any good at lecturing cats. If she was, maybe she'll be able to get through her own apprentice. With a scrunched up brow, the silverish cream she-cat stalked up to them. Her gentle frame stepped between the mentor and the apprentice. "Return home and lecture later. Amberdusk, any louder, you'll bring in all of ShadowClan."

It seemed like Amberdusk had calmed down enough to lead the two other home.

Featherpaw froze as her mentor called to her, and they sounded mad. She immediately turned around, padded back, and stepped away from the border. She winced as Amberdusk scolded her. "Sorry Amberdusk . . ." she mewed softly. She looked at Amberdusk.

The RiverClan border. She didn't often visit this border, save for the time Miss Grandmama had them cross it in order to fight RiverClan. She blinked slowly, her tail waving along the scent line as dull eyes landed upon the three apprentices with her.
"RiverClan. Mark. Do not cross."
She instructed simply, her body soon enough moving along the scent line as she strengthened its odour, brushing past rocks and lightly scratching trees, always eyeing those she had taken with and the other side. Hopefully they would behave. Now that she thought of it, was Springburst not a RiverClan fish, like Rookfire? Huh. RiverClan sure loved ShadowClan.

dilute calico paws followed her cousin. as the group neared the border, it became painfully clear that the scent of fish was fresh. a patrol must've gone through recently... no matter. "i wouldn't want to go over a border, not when the stench of the fish is... " tch what was the word she was looking for? "gag-worthy." good enough. best word to use there. totally. honestly, she wasn't lying, she didnt want to cross the border. the fish could stay on their side and her clan could stay on shadowclan's side.

she followed suit behind sleepysunrise, marking trees with her claws, and bushes and rocks with her fur where the scent-markers had dulled.

she just wanted to go back.
