Dandelionpaw WindClan Apprentice
a thick-furred pale-brown-and-white pseudo-tabby she-cat with amber eyes, apprenticed to hawkfur.
She / Her - 9 Moons 3 / 100
Dandelionpaw´s amber hues lit up as the warrior in front of her agreed to teach her some battle moves. She ran in a small circle a couple of times out of excitement.
´´Yes!´´ The apprentice purred, her plumed tail quivering ever so slightly as she let out a soft trill. ´´What are we going to start with?´´
The excitement of this apprentice was quite astounding, and Autumnpatch knew he had to think fast. He was no teacher, but this quivering she-cat was not going to rest until she learned something - and he had a sneaking suspicion that she'd find another warrior to bug for lessons if the one that he'd found himself in wasn't up to par with her standards.
Whatever those were, anyway.
"Alright-" the bicolor tom tried to draw out the word as much as possible, eyes darting from one end of the clearing to another in a futile attempt to actually find something useful to teach her. He assumed her mentor had already taught her hunting skills. Aha! "Battle moves are a lot like hunting. You stay out of sight and scent of your opponent and you must strike first - before the other cat has a chance to gain an advantage. They're no mice, but I've seen mice not go down without a fight against a warrior a time or two." It was a funny story, he hoped she'd ask about it after they were done. "You know a cat's weak spots, right?" The eyes, throat, stomach, and spine - but how far her mentor had taught her would determine the best course of action.
A sense of pride washed over the tabby, if one could tell he was striped. Maybe Twilightstar would grant him his own apprentice someday; he hoped not, but maybe this was a preparedness lesson for him as well as Dandelionpaw.

Dandelionpaw´s amber gaze widened as Autumnpatch explained the basics of a battle, almost to the point where the whites of her eyes showed. ´´Woah..´´ She whispered, plopping back on her haunches. At his next question, Dandelionpaw knew that she had to think about her lessons as a kit and what Hawkfur had taught her already.
Tipping her head to the side thoughtfully, the apprentice let out a soft mew. ´´It is a cat´s eyes, right? And their throat, their stomach, their spine...´´ Dandelionpaw frowned. ´´Even their ears.´´
"Tomatoes are in the same family as some of the world's deadliest poisons. That just goes to show how rebellious tomatoes are." "What about how the apple can fall far from the tree?" "No, sometimes the tomato falls from the plant."
Fleetsmoke WindClan Warrior
a splotched white-and-light-brown she-cat with ice-blue eyes, mentor to silkpaw.
She / Her - 30 Moons
Grateful that her Clanmate had let her have the first bite, Fleetsmoke bent her head and tore off a piece of the rabbit before pushing it over to Warmsun with a snowy paw. ´´Your turn.´´
The WindClanner chewed her bite of rabbit in her mouth for a moment before she swallowed it. ´´Don´t eat too quickly, though. WindClan doesn´t need its warriors falling ill due to a bellyache.´´

"OH DEAR STARS, THAT A FIRE!"

He Chuckled And Swished His Tail. "Sure Thing, Fleets." He Purred, Ripping Off A Bite, Then Nudging It Back To Her. "How've You Been?" He Said After Swallowing, Trying Not To Make It Akward.

Fleets.
The nickname and the note of affection in Warmsun´s voice caught Fleetsmoke off guard for a moment. It was almost, almost how she called her apprentice, Silkpaw, Silks.
Ears lying flat against her head, the warrior avoided Warmsun´s gaze and instead stared at her paws as she took another bite of the rabbit. Fleetsmoke chewed before swallowing, choosing not to speak until she had finished. ´´U-Uh,´´ The she-cat stuttered out the singular word, the heat of embarrassment under her splotched white-and-light-brown fur causing every hair on her pelt to prickle. ´´E-Everything's been g-going g-great. Windy Hills is ch-charred and bl-blackened; t-there´s the lingering s-scent of s-smoke, of c-course, but S-Silks managed t-to make h-her f-first catch o-otherwise.´´
Fleetsmoke somehow managed to look the scarred tom in the eyes, her ice-blue eyes having previously been filled with panic now pooling with pride in Silkpaw. ´´She´s a wonderful apprentice. Silks is shaping up well.´´
Owlclaw is laying by the opening of the elder's den. he wondered about the old times when he was an aprentice and a kit and a warrior. as he watches the aprentices training and play fighting one another, warriors talking and teaching their aprentices, and kits playing and tumbling out of the nursery. his own kits who were now warriors. were around the camp somewhere. Owlclaw was still waiting for the day to see them get their own aprentices. Owlclaw was also grieving for his mate who was with starclan. Owlclaw looks up wondering if anyone would be mad if whent to grab some fresh prey from the fresh-kill pile.

As her sky-looking was interrupted by this lump, Moorkit took a step back to scan her eyes over the cat and assess the situation. "Yes, yes you are." She responded to the lump, her green eyes fixed on his face. "You interrupted my sky-looking." Moorkit said with an annoyed huff, her tone irritated as if her sky-looking was the most important thing in the clan. It should be, but somehow it isn't. Honestly, why was this guy so rude and uncaring for her sky-looking. "It's very rude to interrupt someone's sky-looking, didn't you know?" The she-kit asked, walking around the lump until she stood by his face. Would mother kick him out for being a lazy lump if she asked? Perchance.
Moorkit would give him a chance to redeem himself before she went back to the nursery and told her mother of his treasonous and horrid actions. And maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't get mother to kick him out.

Hawkfur raised his brows at the blunt entitlement of this kit. Stars, she really was leaning hard into the "daughter of the clan's leader", wasn't she? Hawkfur craned his neck to stare up at the sky, humming in understanding as fluffy white clouds scuffed across the sky along a brisk wind. "Oh, well my apologies your highness. But you see, I can't really move. I've been in this spot for so long, my fur has grown into the ground!" His azure eyes sparkled with mischief. Did he think the kit was going to fall for it? Absolutely not. But ever since having kids of his own, Hawkfur couldn't pass up an opportunity to tease kits. "Maybe you could go around?" Or over.

"Fantastic!" he purred, moving in a semi-circle around her until he was facing her. He wasn't the tallest of warriors, but he was plenty big and sturdy in his own right. It was a gift of his lineage of no great importance at the moment. "Those parts are softer than the rest of a cat's body, and if a pawful of claws rake along any one of those, it'll hurt and can cause great injury, if not cause a cat to find their way to StarClan." he gave the sentence a nod of his own approval.
"So your mission for this lesson is to knock me to the ground with your claws sheathed. We're not going for injury, we're going for technique and getting the basics of protecting yourself while giving your opponent something to go back to their medicine cat about. Get down low, tail flat-" he crouched, head and tail against the ground, bunching his hindquarters up in anticipation of an attack. "And use your hindlegs to launch yourself forward. That's where a cat's power is in an opening move, followed by a strike with claws." Autumnpatch first thought he was talking too much, but she seemed eager to learn and he found himself hoping he was being clear enough to be understood properly. It'd been a long time since he'd had a mentor and he couldn't go asking for pointers.
