Deerspark was confused. And not in the way he usually was.
But he wasn't about to focus on that (he was), he was too busy counting the molecules of sand on his pelt. Which was pretty hard since he was, y'know, sand colored. Distracting his concerning thoughts with task like ones usually worked.. After he got to the hundreds, he kinda gave up after a hundred and sixty, since he wasn't sure what came after that. Cats didn't really live that long, so why would numbers go so high? Which ment they probably didn't. Case and point (he slowly began to think about trees within this context...).
With the new cold weather came a shivering sea breeze, one that Deerspark assumed would be refreshing, but he was quite literally (or at least attempting to) clench his jaw in pain. If he jaw wasn't nearly unhinged from his face. Yeah. Fun.
Anyways, the cold air made his maw ache like hell itself (...what is "hell?"), and Deerspark made a mental reminder to go down to the medicine cats den to scarf down some poppy seeds, then pass out completely. That would be fine. But seriously, this crap really hurt. He still couldn't wrap his head around the fact that Bumblestar squared up on him out of all cats. Yes, he came out with his life, but Bumblestar took a few notable chunks of him with her, like the side of his neck, and his tail, which was already pretty short already.
Well, at least he wasn't dead.
...
Deerspark had mainly come out here to not only wallow in self pity and avoid sleep paralysis by avoiding sleep altogether, but he also came out for a swim.
He had begun to see how silly that incitive was. Because well. It was freaking freezing. And while Deerspark wasn't sure why, he was pretty certain that the water cooled far slower than land, which caused the odd effect of the land being hot, but the water cold. So, unless he wanted to end up as a deer-sicle, it'd be best if he stayed far, far away from the water.

Rosehawk wrinkled her nose in disgust, bile rising in her throat. Quickly grabbing the stick that Cricketpaw had brought her in between her jaws, the Bengal used it to push the dead rat into the hole.
´´Scrape earth over it, and quickly,´´ She mewed, tail whisking. ´´I don´t want it luring any predators and / or threats onto RiverClan Territory. After you do so, we´re gonna go back to camp and report straight to Stormstar.´´
No other words could describe the smell when she moved the body and half its guts fell out. Pushing it rapidly into the hastily dug hole, she flung dirt over it.

Screw the camp, and screw the cats inside it. Redmire hated being there to the point that more often than not she found herself wandering the territory instead of lingering inside. But for as much as she relished the alone time, it had definitely gotten weighty, and so Seabreeze's offer felt like a blessing from the stars, mostly because he felt like one of the only ones she could talk to without being berated for one reason or another.
"It's not a problem." She stuck close to his side as they stepped onto the beach, casting a glance from side to side. "I can't stand being in camp nowadays, anyway. It feels like there's always eyes on me lately."

"I get that.. for different reasons." He feels judged, and he deserves to be, to be judged. He wasn't a very good warrior, he never should've been a lionheart and there was no reason why he should've been for so long, and he's happy that he isn't anymore because he doesn't feel like he's suffocating so much... but at the same time, people saw him differently. Man, maybe he's taking Aspenpaw's snark to heart, which would be kind of sad because that apprentice was just fiery, nothing.. well maybe a bit personal with what he says to Seabreeze. The warrior though, instead, decides to move on, "What do you think about the new territory so far? I think the huntings been fine... Though it's hard to tell with the changing seasons, with how prey will be harder to find anyways..." It was a bit awkward, but he wasn't sure what else he could say. He looked back and forth up the beach for anything... mostly gulls.
