“Maybe,” he answered. He continued talking as a question popped up in his mind. “Oh, and do you happen to know why RiverClan was exiled? I talked about this with Daywhisper — my mentor — and she didn’t know because she was a queen back then.”

“Yeah, maybe” he answered. Saying that, he eyed the cat that sat next to his friend, without any hostile signs but also without any friendly ones. Ashpaw was simply looking at the newcomer neutrally. “Hello…?” he finally said, asking for the apprentice’s name.

Willowpaw gave a sypathetic look to Mosspaw. "He recently found his mother's body while he was out training with Lionscar." She meowed.

The apprentice den... Patchkit was on a little exploring adventure, and his curiosity got the better of him as he decided to look into the apprentice den. He would be in here soon rather than the nursery which was a relief. Nothing wrong with the nursery, there was just so many kits in their and he always felt a bit overwhelmed by it all. Too much. There were still quite a few people in here as well, but not as much as the nursery. Would he eventually share the space with Songbird? She was a good friend, and Patchkit didn't have many. She wasn't too much younger than them, so maybe they would be able to train together.

Oop, what was this? Whistlekit had just been passing by, about to go and fetch a mossball that rolled in the direction of the apprentice den, when she heard... an apprentice named Mosspaw found the body of his mother while out training?

Whistlekit slinks into the den secretively and sits down on a spot, pretending to look for the ball while keeping an ear raised. She wanted to know more! Where, when, and why!

Willowpaw gave a sypathetic look to Mosspaw. "He recently found his mother's body while he was out training with Lionscar." She meowed.

Ashpaw lowered his head, to show he was sorry for the apprentice, but also because it made his own memories come back. “… I hope it will not burden you for too long.” he simply said. “It can be hard to accept it. My best advice is not to focus on regretting not being able to protect her or something. Just focus on the good things.” Ashpaw then fell silent.
