wormbite's thoughts were swirling in a haze of confusion. his clanmates' words had left him with thousands of questions. it was not particularly shocking to discover starclan had taken away their lives, though stormstar had implied she was not the first. pikestar had surely had lives, when had they stopped? furthermore, while fadingstar had been killed — his actions still had a lasting impact. actions the oriental remained predominantly unaware of.

so, the tom was searching for a warrior who was not currently occupied to answer his burning questions. wormbite wanted an unbiased source (at least the best he could get). easier said then done. he felt out of touch with his clanmates, the majority of them at least - but he resigned these thoughts to another day. so, he waited - ears twitching. eventually his indecisiveness causes his patience to wear thin and the moment the scent of a warrior passes by, the sin-eater is rising to his paws and approaching them.

"hullo, " wormbite mewed quietly, clearing his throat. "if you are not preoccupied, do you mind offering a small history lesson? i was swept away by the last flood, and while i returned right before our exile i am afraid i never quite got the chance to learn what had all occurred during the time i was gone, " he inquired.

cobwebfern stretched sleepily, curling closer into herself as she napped in the warrior's den. she tucked her head under her paw, purring quietly. she awoke vaguely rudely from her sleep by a warrior she'd barely talked to approaching her. dealing with the father that she had, you knew when someone was approaching you and you knew who it was instantly. anyways. brief tangent on her trauma aside, cobwebfern sleepily raised herself up, yawning.

' hallo. ' she replied, tongue thick and mouth sour from her sleep. the warrior licked her paw and dragged it across her ear, then licked down her fluffy chest fur to look at least a bit more presentable in front of wormbite. ' i was vaguely preoccupied with.. sleeping, b-but yeah, mhm, i can tell you about the- uh- what happened. yeah. ' she honestly didn't mean to be rude, at all, but being awoken from naps was one of cobwebfern's big.. pet peeves.

' 'msorry about the whole flood thing. i hope you're doin'.. okay now, yeah? if- right before we were exiled, yeah, you missed a lil' bit. so.. uh.. where should we start? ' she shifted on her paws, yawning again. cobwebfern scratched behind her ear, swallowing and smiling awkwardly at wormbite.

| this takes place in nearr-ish middle (give or take.. not Direct center... but he isn't lurking near the walls if that makes sense) of the clearing, btw! (heee gets panicky in closed spaces so he avoids them like the plague otherwise i would run with it ;; ) srry if i wasnt specific enough, tried to allude to it by him searching for a cat not occupied /a cat passing by him but realized i never actually directly stated LOL
wormbite's eyes glanced blindly about, eyebrows furrowing in confusion at the yawn. .. was.. this not the cat that had just walked by? and why were they sleeping almost in the middle of the clearing? "..my deepest apologizes, i am afraid i must be mistaken who you are. i do have to politely advise against sleeping in the middle of pathways, however. it would be unfortunate if you were to be stepped on, " he speaks in a monotone voice, while he was attempting to give genuine advice (.. at the very least, while he did his best to pay attention to his surroundings he was accident-prone.) it would be easy to take it as sarcasm. was wormbite aware of this? never.

"..oh. thank you then, i greatly appreciate your help, " he replied, sitting down in front of the molly. wormbite blinked slowly at her apology, another glance about. .. he wondered why cats apologized for events happening when they had no partake in it. he was unsure how to respond, so he did not with the expectation of a small nod.

"i suppose from right after the flood..? i am aware dusklion murdered fallownose, and beanstar was - " a pause, easy to miss, a moment of hesitation, "killed by bumblestar. .. and i was briefly made aware of the multiple high rank changes throughout the moon, but minimal information was given. i am also curious about the parts of fadingstar's leadership i had missed if that helps, " the oriental offers up.
