Either Shadepaw must've been messier than she first realized catching the sparrow, or the prey had caught on that she was in this section of the woods. Whatever the case, she couldn't find any more prey. She let out a low hiss of exasperation, and continued her search.
Finally she could scent something... A bird, it smelled like, though she couldn't identify it. Stalking closer, she caught a glimpse-- sleek black feathers. She hesitated. A raven. Ravens were dangerous, and this one was huge. Yet... She couldn't help but think that Clovepool would be impressed if she managed to catch it. That was all she needed to creep forward, ready to pounce, when suddenly-- It flew away. She took too long hesitating. She caught a glimpse of a worm in between its beak before it flew out of sight. Mouse dung! she thought angrily. It was right there. Her tail lashed, frustrated and disappointed. She failed. That was that. There was no next time-- she'd probably never get the chance to catch a raven again. And as much as she wanted to claw herself, she still had a job-- catching more prey. She could not afford to fail again. Amber eyes narrowed in burning slits, she walked away.

Having caught the squirrel, Pondpaw buried it and silently thanked her warrior ancestors for the prey. Opening her jaws to taste the air, Pondpaw caught the scent of rabbit at once.

Pinpointing her quarry by hearing rather than sight, Pondpaw crouched, facing the direction of her prey. She stalked forward slowly, making no noise and thankful that the pine forest hid her scent. Making sure that the rabbit´s scent was flowing towards her and not the other way around, the former RiverClanner leaped, going for the rabbit.

Fallenmoon purred, glad he'd finally managed to catch three pieces of prey, he noticed Meadowwhisper padding back to her prey with a small frown. Mothcloud, his mother has- WHA!? 7 pieces of prey!? While she was pregnant she could still hunt that good! Good Starclan!

Flamegaze purred as she snagged a mouse under her claws. it nearly escaped her. She made quick work of the creature, but when she looked up the patrol had moved ahead again. Drat. She hissed softly before hurrying forward. she would be more focused this time.

Silentpaw shook his fur, satisfied with his three catches. This was goimg great, so far. ShadowClan would strive. He quickly scanned the lush greenery, eyes narrowed and studying every movement, mouth tasting the air for every scent, ears perked for every little sounds.

A familiar rustle. Silentpaw drops into a crouch and carefully eyes the russet-furred rodents.

Squirrels.

The patched tabby tom was quick to leap at the squirrels, at this point getting very comfortable with hunting, moving much more quicke and swifter than previous.

But why am I the one that has to pay?

One step, a scent on the wind. Two steps. Closer. Three. A mouse! She leaped for it, nimbly catching it, and traced the scent a little further. Another one!

She turned to go back into the shadows when she came face-to-face with a vole. She froze for a minute before Duskpaw brought her paw down on it, biting it's neck before creeping into the shadows to hunt some more.

Successful catch! Alright not bad! Cinderpaw quickly deposits her new catch with the previous before turning again to stalk through the pines. Briefly, she wonders if the enforcers are worried at all about over hunting the territory. Well... no matter.

aha! it was a little troublesome, but she did it. managing to catch the lizard, squirrelrise picks up the vole from earlier and carries on. upon catching the scent of a bird and tracking it, she finds a starling bouncing about. crouching down, she creeps forward and then leaps.

okay, stars. quillpaw's beginning to wonder how the heck he's going to carry all this prey back. heading back to where he buried the other prey, he also buries the crows before continuing on. catching the scent of a mouse, he stalks in the direction of it. once he was close enough, he lunges at the mouse.
