Peakeye watched cats walk past him. He cleaned his black fur. Peakeye started heading towards the Warriors' den. He jumped as a cat almost tripped him.

Littlestream had been leaving the Warrior's den, not looking where she was going. The she-cat's eyes widened as she almost tripped Peakeye. "Oh dear!" she mewed "I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

"I'm good. Do you want to eat something?" Peakeye asked, realizing how hungry he was. "I haven't eaten yet."

Was he hungry? His tummy told him yes, but his paws were screaming at him. Why? He wasn't sure, there was no reason for him to be this drowsy. He'd waddled out from the warmth of the warriors den to the clearing to try and shock his paws back to life. It was mostly working. Emphasis on mostly. Since Deerspark had very thin fur, leafbare was his least favorite season just because it made him all runny nosed and miserable. Yes, he was aware it was unsanitary to simply sniffle up snot every two seconds or wipe it away with his paw, but it's not like he had any tissues or something.

Maybe he should go back into the warriors den... But not until he ate something, or went to hunt for the clan while summer somewhat lingered in the back of Starclan's mind. So, the lengthy tom trotted over to the prey pile, his tail low to cover his flank from the cold. While he'd like to share with somecat, his nose wasn't helping him much, so he set down his prey and began to eat. Despite it being dead, it was somehow warmer than him. Silly.
