Kitepaw followed Rowanmane and Deerspark to Sedgewater Valley, eyes gazing around in awe. She paused to let Rowanmane give directions, this being her first border patrol and all she wanted to do it right. Of course, any kit knew not to cross the border, so she stayed well away from it.

He was glad that after quite the trek, they had reached the border. He tried to keep a decent pace, despite his soreness and still throbbing injuries. Hopefully he hadn’t been too inconsiderate for the other two cats in any way? Well—hopefully if he had been they’d speak up. For now he would focus on the task ahead and get the borders marked. Gee, then he’d be the one who would have to report to StormStar huh? For some reason the idea had him giddy, simply for the thrill over being worthy? That was probably it. “Well, now ya know the way t’ the border if ya didn’ before KitePaw.” he nodded. “A’ight, we can mark our border n’ all then trainin’ stuff.”

Deerspark quite liked the Windclan border. It was breezy and scents trailed somewhat awkwardly but nothing terrible. The lengthy tom padded alongside his clanmates, his mind buzzing with unrelated topics and questions. As Rowanmane began to address his apprentice, Deerspark gave the older tom a quick nod before he went off to remark some fading scents, trying to keep himself somewhat focused.
His tail twitched as he marked a few, but left a good amount for Rowanmane and Kitepaw. Deerspark wasn't one to hog work. He wasn't lazy but he wasn't very eager to do anything either. Stars, come to think of it, Deerspark should've assisted with that fox fight. The tom narrowed his eyes momentarily. That's one more strike for him unfortunately. Gee, he really needed to be more helpful, empty his mind a bit.

Kitepaw nodded at Rowanmane, studying what he did before copying him. Hesitant, she wanted to be careful not to mark the border too heavily. When she felt she was done, she took a step and looked at her mentor and Deerspark. Namely waiting to hear from Rowanmane if she did it correctly or if she needed to make any adjustments.
