The cold was slowly starting to creep back. It had been a long time since Bane had experienced cold, without having anywhere to go home to. Trembling slightly, the tortoiseshell trekked through the forest, blue eyes rising with tears. She missed Fadingstar. Why had be run away? She missed her siblings. Why did she leave them behind? Baneberrypaw needed time to find herself. Time.. to breathe. Squeezing the tears out of her eyes by pressing her eyelids together and pulling in a shaky breath, the Ex-Riverclanner halted. A scent.. almost like her own- Faintly of RiverClan- hung in the air. She wished she'd told someone she had left, why she had left, where she had gone.. but she hadn't. Baneberrypaw froze. Pawsteps. "H..Hello?" She called out, voice wavering slightly.

GhostFin walked through the cold grass, trying to find something to hunt, then heard pawsteps and paused. then he heard "H...Hello?" GhostFin's ears went up, then he growled very softly "great... another cat..." GhostFin growled with a very strong accent.

Oh.. Baneberrypaw felt her ears droop and her fur slowly stand on end at the sound of a gutteral growl in an unfamiliar accent. It was a voice she'd never heard before.. not since her birth. The tortoiseshell feline forced herself to lean toward the noise, jaws parting slightly to detect the scent better. Clearing the nerves and anxiety (and hints of misery) from her tone with a rasp of her throat, Bane spoke. "Is.. Anyone there?" She asked. "I'm Baneberrypaw.." Perhaps a clan name would lure out the cat, perhaps she'd be safe then..! A stupid hope, a stupid wish for a cat who couldn't hunt. But perhaps..?

The cat sounded angry.. or at least annoyed. Maybe there wasn’t any real hatred behind the growl. Baneberrypaw swallowed tightly. ”I don’t mean to bother you sir.. I was just passing through. I’m alone.” The outsider promised thoroughly, but her nostrils were twitching at the scent of prey. No, no. Don’t do it. You’ll learn to hunt. Seeing the dark gray dappled tomcat in front of her, the small, skinny tortoiseshell wasn’t certain what to say, so her eyes casted down to her own shifting deep gray paws. Baneberrypaw’s blue eyes were so intently focused it was as though she hadn’t looked at anything more interesting in her life. ”Please don’t hurt me, sir, I mean no wrong.” her voice quivered slightly.

GhostFin looked at the cat in front of him, up and down, then hissed softly. GhostFin turned away and walked the other way, "you might mean no wrong, don't mean I want ya here, scram. you gon spooked the prey now." GhostFin huffed, head held high.

Oh, He was leaving. Baneberrypaw just.. watched him turn away, slowly raising her head to look at the tomcat. Her expression changed from tentative to downright despair. He wasn’t much, but at least he didn’t try to hurt her. Maybe he had seen Fadingstar? Maybe he hadn’t been killed? It wasn’t worth asking, not yet. ”Wait!” She called, voice a squeaky rasp. Aw, come on, now she was crying. Sobbing, more like it.

”Please don’t go yet. I can’t hunt. I don’t want to be alone.. I can’t go back to my clan. Please, sir. Please.” She begged through her tears and sobs, feeling like a stupid wreck. Why had she left? Why? Band should’ve stayed in the clan, even if she did feel alone and sad. No, you can’t go home. Not for a long time. Not until you find yourself like you came out here for. You just can’t.

GhostFin huffed, then turned to face Baneberrypaw "alright ya pathetic excuse for a rat, stop weepin, ye scarrin 'em off." GhostFin grumbled with his thick accent, he held his head high, confident. maybe this cat wont be so bad to be around, they don't know one rat tail how to hunt, but they might be helpful in other ways. she was also actin like a crying kittypet. "though... if ye staying with me, quit the weepin." GhostFin huffed, he wouldn't, no he couldent deel with the cryin, it reminded him of when he was a kit. small and useless.

The insults didn’t even matter. They didn’t matter because Baneberrypaw wouldn’t be alone. Choking back sniffling tears, the ex-apprentice wiped the tears from her eyes, breath shaky. He wasn’t leaving. She wouldn’t be alone. Suck it up. Calming herself and blinking the tears that blurred her vision away rapidly, Baneberrypaw fixated her eyes on the unknown cat. Th-Thank you, sir..” she whispered, sniffing in hard and raising a paw to wipe away the tears and misery from her expression. ”Wh.. Who are you? You smell a little like RiverClan..”

GhostFin stood in front of Baneberrypaw,studying her. she could be a pretty fine hunter, possibly. My name be GhostFin." GhostFin answered calmer than before, his paws were a light orange, but the rest of him was a light gray with darker spots, he had very dark brown eyes, almost like he had no pupil's.
