stars, it had been a while since he had an apprentice. fading had given him emberpaw, but unfortunately she had disappeared before they had ever gotten to even train. safe to say, wormbite felt his .. mentoring skills were on the rusty sides of things. (.. he didn't particularly consider himself to be all that talented at it to begun with.) hopefully, all would go smoothly.

the oriental approached the apprentice's den entrance. he cleared his throat quietly before stepping one paw in to duck his head into the darkness. "shadowpaw, arise and come gather near the entrance of the camp. you will be exploring the territory today, " he spoke in a monotone voice, keeping his words well-pronounced. (he still had a slight lisp from his jaw injury, but he had adjusted well enough at this point it wasn't so prominent. )

he pulled back and turned promptly towards the direction of the exit. territory tours were relatively .. uneventful, but needed. it also offered wormbite the chance just to see what type of apprentice he ended up this time around.

Shadowpaw perked up at the sound of her name, slowly getting to her paws. At the entrance of camp, he said? The black tabby struggled to remember what her mentor had said only mere seconds ago, frowning. Well, she'd find out. Stretching and shaking her fur, Shadowpaw padded out of the den towards the camp exit. Lo and behold, Wormbite was there. The dark-furred apprentice offered her new mentor a gentle smile.
Territory tours did not seem that pleasing, but she guessed she'd just have to suck it up and live through it. The life of an apprentice.

"Hello." She mewed, her voice low and warm.

| hope it's cool if i go relatively quick :'O just since they got alotta places 2 visit !
the oriental stood there patiently, cloud gaze fixated to the ground. still, he clearly kept keen alert; ears flickering about to the scents around him. at the sound of pitter-pattering approaching him, wormbite lifted his head slightly in their general direction. it was not long until his apprentice's voice spoke up and wormbite returned a swift, "hullo."

without another word, the warrior exited the camp and made a gesture for shadowpaw to follow with a tail flick. he was never particularly a tom of many words unless prompted. at least the first place they were visiting wasn't too far. wormbite continued until they reached seagrass fields, coming to a complete halt. "this is where our fallen now lay. they used to rest within sleepy thicket, but the other clans have been far too aware of every nook and cranny in our territory. i do not recommend hunting here as you will have little luck, but by the scent of it there many herbs enjoy it here, " he explained.

he turned towards shadowpaw's direction, "any inquiries?"

Shadowpaw silently followed Wormbite out of camp, looking around all the while. It was the first she'd ever been out of camp, and it was... Awesome. RiverClan was such a nice Clan. No other Clan territory would compare!

The dark-furred apprentice followed Wormbite closely, stopping as soon as he did so. RiverClan gravesite, she presumed from how he'd said it. Her mentor worded things quite strangely. Not that she minded, of course. She found it pretty amusing. She hadn't met anyone who really talked like this.

"Nah." She gave a simple, quick answer. Wormbite didn't seem like the type to engage in long conversations, anyway.

wormbite gave a short nod towards the quick answer. this was proving to be less stressful then he thought it would be. there was not a million questions, for one, nor was the other bouncing around with hyperactivity. without another word, the oriental turned a direction and started to head away from seagrass fields and instead to sleepy thicket. it wasn't particularly a place he was fond of, it always unnerved him. even now that the gravesite had been moved, wormbite still saw it as a place of where spirits lurked more then anything.

he came to a halt once they reached the entrance of the quiet patch of trees. "this is where sleepy thicket is. it is quiet, easy to find squirrels and rodents here. fair warning the elders will attempt to scare you with a tale of a headless spirit wandering the woods seeking to reclaim their lost skull .. and as eerie as this area is, it simply a tale, " wormbite explained, tail twitching as he recounted its history.

Shadowpaw followed Wormbite further, looking around as she did so. She needed to remember how to get around the territory! She narrowed her eyes at the trees, not liking how it was almost silent. She didn't like silence. Maybe a bit of quiet, but silence made her uncomfortable. The black tabby scoffed at Wormbite's warning of the Elders' stories.

"Nah, I don't believe in that stuff anyways. Stories won't work on me. I needa see it to believe it." She shrugged with a flick of her slim tail.
