backstory: sunday is a kittypet born and raised. his mother and father are both kittypets, but growing up his mother would tell him stories of the forest cats on his father's side of the family. this left sunday intrigued by these colonies of cats residing in the nearby forest, but he has yet to go about investigating them. he lives alone with his housefolk and is primarily an indoor cat, though recently his housefolk have been letting him out into the garden more often as he gets older. he is indifferent to kittypet life and open to learning different ways of living.
he has recently begun experimenting with his gender identity after an encounter with a genderfluid kittypet and moons of not resonating with being perceived as a she-cat. his switch to masculine pronouns is still new and exploratory.
