The Old But Really Brand New
Goldenwhisker layed right outside of the nursery, sunning herself out. She, by all means, did not want to be bothered with kits right now, especially her own. @Spooky_Dreamz

Aspenkit was tiny and unknowing. He knew not a thing about this big world that he'd been forced into after moons in the womb of his mother. He wanted to move, but before that he would have to figure out how to move. Aspenkit tried rolling a bit, he could feel the moss squishing beneath him, then followed by cold ground as he rolled off of the nest. Mewing in discomfort at this sudden change, he shimmied backwards to the safety of the nest.
He opened his eyes. He hadn't done it often, as the colors of the world felt strange to him. He let out another, somewhat louder but still small meow, trying to communicate. He was bored and wanted to do something other than lay here. "Mmmma!" he called out.

Goldenwhisker let out a low growl at the sound of Aspenkit's mews. Go to sleep! She yowled from outside the nursery. Why couldn't her life be happy, like most cats in the clan? With a mate that loved her? Grief pricked her chest as she remembered Darkfire. Was he still alive? Why was she raising his kits all by herself? Goldenwhisker rolled over, the sun hitting her bright golden fur. She purred. Was StarClan cursing her with these kits because of the amount of cats she had killed? Why would they kill Darkfire and not her? Guilt surrounded her and she rested her head on the spiky grass. Why must it be her life that was a mess?

Desperate for attention, the little kit shuffled towards the voice of his mother, even after she'd yelled at him. Aspenkit just wanted to play, and that he would do. "M...ma..?"
