(TreeClimber)
TreeClimber nodded as they padded over to their leader keeping their composure despite the tragedy. They stood at the ready, awaiting orders.
" I'll offer all the help I can. "
TreeClimber mewed as they shifted their weight between their paws.

Almost instantly the metallic scent of blood hit her nostrils; how had she not noticed it earlier? Maybe she needed to work on her senses. Irisfrost's gaze was drawn to the bloodied body draped on a warrior's- Rosehawk, was it?- back. As she came closer, she could detect the scent of fox on him; that must have been what killed him.
"I'll help," she declared, figuring Stormstar must have called them over to fight the creature or creatures. She hadn't sparred or been in a fight for a while; it would be good practice at least, assuming she didn't get killed or severely injured in the fight. Fighting for your life was an effective way to bring your battle training forth from the archives of your mind.
Wisteriawren... really had nothing to offer Dusk... Stormstar for this fox hunt. Oh stars, she really needed to speak to her friend. Tell her the truth. The thought was scary, and while Wisteriawren knew she was probably the biggest coward in RiverClan right now for hiding it so long out of fear that she'd be sent back out the way she'd come... it was well past time she told someone. Namely, Stormstar, since her friend... her friend deserved to know.
After taking her in and giving her a home, after sacrificing so much. . . why did Wisteriawren still hide? But now was not the time to give the teal-eyed leader her embarrassing secret. She could give it to her afterward. After, when Stormstar came back home. Safely. "Be safe, please." She murmured as she halted beside the Clan leader. She couldn't fight, but she could definitely fuss. Tentatively offering the molly a nudge, Wisteriawren smiled faintly. "Don't go getting hurt."
Stormstar - RiverClan Leader
Good. Five warriors, and they all responded rather promptly. Stormstar was determined to flush these foxes out once and for all. They had attacked her and that rouge out in the territory, and now Catfishwhisker. Her tail lashed behind her as cats gathered around her, though her eyes flickered to Wisty as she approached. Her heart felt squeezed at the nudge, and the RiverClan leader grinned. "Oh, come on now," the leader purred with a shrug, "Couple of foxes are nothin' - 'sides, I got more work to do. Can't go 'n let some foxes take that all away." But there was appreciation in her eyes as she returned the nudge.
Looking back towards the five cats with her, Stormstar's expression turned more serious. "Alright, you five follow me! We'll start with where Catfishwhisker was found 'n work our way out. Let's go!" With that she turned and bounded out of the camp entrance, tail streaming out behind her.

Following the scent of the lifeless warrior was easy enough, especially when mixed with Rosehawk's. The blood of Catfishwhisker still marked the ground, and the scent of fox was not fresh - but it definitely wasn't stale either. Stormstar scouted the area with focus, ears pressed to her skull as she looked up. "I assume it's got a den around here somewhere - this is the same area I ran into one not too long ago," the leader addressed the patrol finally, looking over at them. "Everyone keep your senses alert. Adderstrike, Foxleap, Treeclimber - head that way but do not engage if you happen to see it or it's den - instead come back this way 'n alert us. Applebees, Irisfrost - you're with me."
Flicking her tail the leader started off in the direction where the fox trail seemed to follow - though granted, with the scent everywhere it could've gone off in any direction at this point.
[ please read! there will be one round of posting - no one should find anything fox-related this round! - and then stormstar's group will stumble upon the fox den! there will be a total of three foxes, with one already pretty injured from its fight with catfishwhisker (that means 2 cats per fox), so now is the time for injuries! since this is set pre-gathering however, i'm going to ask that there is no immediate deaths. however, if you want your cat to die you are welcome to give them an injury that they die from later! just.... please not all of the cats ]
TreeClimber turned to Adderstrike and Foxleap, making sure they took a mental note of the area, they weren't the best at directions but they had a decent memory to make up for it. Their pelt was bristling with energy, they were ready for throw themselves at any fox who dare came across their path!
( @Tallow Is it okay if TreeClimber got a Scar on their shoulder from an infected fox bite? )

Re: only you can prevent fox-est fires! [fox fight]
Adderstrike was glad to see how many cats had responded and how swiftly they did. Another thing making her happy was the fact that she was picked to go. Foxes were easy to fight, she had the know how and the strength for it. She could solo a fox for sure but having another cat aiding her was always welcomed. Hopefully they could match her tempo in fighting.
Given the groups Adderstrike walked over to her group and waited patiently. While waiting she pondered where these foxes could be hiding themselves. Finding the den would be a nice treat but what if all the foxes were right there. Could her allies handle foxes? Hopefully they would spot the den several cat leaps away before anything bad could happen.

Applebees And I think I've lost my will + she/her + No purrks
It would seem that the rest of the clan was finally shaping up to step up more rather than just laze about and waste away. She couldn't talk much on that topic since she had let herself waste away like so. Oh, so it was pesky foxes that were causing the problem this time around? This would be a first for her hunting down foxes, she was more akin to running into traitorous ex-clanmates. Without any complaints, Applebees gave a nod and joined both the leader and hopefully the third cat in their group.
Re: only you can prevent fox-est fires! [fox fight]
Irisfrost
Stormstar didn't explicitly say they were going to fight foxes, but her response to the grey she-cat that had told her to be safe- Wisteriawren, right?- was more than enough proof of her suspicions. As Stormstar headed out of camp, Irisfrost followed, already mentally preparing herself for the fight.
Okay, they needed to find the den. Irisfrost padded after her two patrolmates, drawing in the scents around her. The fox scent was muddled; they had clearly gone all over the area. One thing she could pinpoint easily, however, was the tang of Catfishwhisker's blood. She could see it too, not far away. Irisfrost hadn't known the warrior well, but for anyone being killed by foxes was a nasty way to go. It was quick at least, but terrifying and likely very painful. At least Catfishwhisker would be at peace in StarClan, and its death would be avenged.

Stormstar - RiverClan Leader
A flash of irritation rippled through her as it seemed Foxleap hadn't followed them out of camp. She would deal with that later, but right now she wanted to focus on flushing these foxes from RiverClan's territory. Hopefully there weren't too many.
With the mingled mixture of Catfishwhisker's blood it was difficult at first to pick it up - but the scent was growing stronger. And stronger... and stronger, until Stormstar lifted her head and stopped dead in her tracks. Up ahead mostly concealed by thick undergrowth was a familiar looking mound, large enough for the leader to infer it had to be a den of sorts. The fox scent was all around them now and her muscles tensed, eyes darting around. "They're nearby," she whisper-hissed to the cats around her, crouching low to the ground.
Just as she finished speaking the bright russet pelt of a fox flashed out from the den, it's nose high in the air. Stormstar froze, claws immediately leaving their sheaths. Another one followed close behind it, and the leader cursed under her breath. This one seemed injured though, fresh wounds and the scent of blood letting her now that was the one who had likely had a tussle with Catfishwhisker. "Okay, two foxes, but one of 'ems injured. That should be fine." She couldn't call for the other patrol to come this way without alerting the two foxes in front of her, but she didn't want to go into this underpawed. "One of you go back 'n-"
The rest of her sentence was cut off by high pitched whining and the leader's fur bushed out as another fox entered from off to the side, its beady black eyes locked right onto her. "Go!" The cats around her knew how to take on foxes, or at least how to use their claws. There was no time for a plan other than attack as the fox loped towards Stormstar who was already springing towards it with a yowl splitting the air, ducking underneath its snapping jaws and diving for its leg with a fierce bite.
[ @Spottedraven - that's fine by me, you're welcome to give any injuries you'd like @Fish @Kix @kittycatburmise - we're down a patrol member, so if one of the cats wants to take on the injured fox by themselves they're welcome to! storm has KA T3, so once she finishes the current fox she's working with she'll come help whoever the single fighter is! ]
They tried to scout out the area of the foxes den, keeping their ears pricked and their eyes widened. They felt as if something was watching them but they couldn't sense anything, so they kept trying to figure out how big the fox was and what skills they had. They realized they hadn't been watching their back, then out of seemingly nowhere a fox's teeth tore through her shoulder. They had let out a yow of suprise before seeing that the fox was hurt, so they needed to exploit that weakness. They tried to bite the fox's injuries to try and make them worse before trying to go for it's throat, however that severely backfired as they were pinned to the ground by the vixen. They managed to get a blow at its throat, but at the cost of a patch of their fur. Time seemed to slow down for a moment, their ears felt as if they'd never stop ringing. They had a flashback to her days on the outskirts, their lover, Talon. They flashbacks to Talon being attacked by a fox, only to arrive too late to help. This gave her a shot of pure adrenaline before pricking up their ears as they thought they heard someone.

Adderstrike could smell faint smells of what she could only assume was fox. Despite that she kept herself on high alerts for anything. Then her ears perked up hearing Stormstar call out for them. It almost felt like a flash between where she was and being with Stormstar and Applebees.
Her eyes quickly snapped to the injured fox smelling its blood in the air. This would be an easy fight. With that being said, Adderstrike leaped onto the wildly fox's back from behind and bit down to get a solid hold on it and oh lord did she need that. The beast acted like its tail was caught on fire. Sure she was trying to kill it, but it moved more erratically than any cat she had fought before. Perhaps she could learn a thing or two from the raw energy of the beast.
