Smoketail nodded turning this gaze away. "I figured." He mumbled for only him to hear. The white tom with a black tail stood up. "Well...I'll see you later." he said with a dip of his head. Smoketail stood up and walked away.
The young tom's heart shattered as he heard her say that name, he kept playing that scene over and over. Darkfire.Darkfire.Darkfire.Darkfire. Smoketail knew he could never compete with him...and even with him gone and dead. He sighed, he helped her give birth to Darkfire's kits. Smoketail headed to the camp entrance and disappeared.

Anything he could do? ANYTHING HE COULD DO??? There were a lot of things Wormkit could do. That included letting go of Spiritkit. Stars, that was a great idea. And this was it. This was where he gives up.
"LET. GO OF ME!!!" Spiritkit screeches, no longer thrashing but attempting to twist his body and neck to glare at Wormkit. For the love of the Dark Forest, it feels strange and uncomfortable saying something for the first time in days. And yelling, too! His throat burned. Welp, guess he won't be speaking for another eternity.

Wormkit's eyes shot wide at the screech, dropping the smaller tom accidentally, startled by its suddenness. It shifted closer, checking to make sure he hadn't hurt Spiritkit "aaare you okay?" it asked, furrowing it's brows.
It paused momentarily, thinking before it spoke "Spiritkit, what is your problem? You know Dawnstar wouldn't appreciate any cat attacking another Clanmate for absolutely no reason." He said with a soft sigh, at this point not even expecting to get an answer, he could hope though.
