Once again, he raised an eyebrow at Stempaw's tone. Was the apprentice rude, or simply enthusiastic? He still couldn't tell. "Next's The Dawning Woods," he explained, padding on. Much to his relief, the ground began to soften up again as they approached the tall forest. The shelter of the trees was welcome, but it was one of the brighter areas in ShadowClan's territory, which caused it to lose a little of his favour. "Here we are - the woods are a great place for hunting. Speaking of," he turned to Stempaw, "would you like to try some now?"

Stempaw bounded after Newtbelly, thrilled to be going back into the depths of their own territory. He nodded as Newtbelly explained this was a good place hunt. "Noted." He mewed, eyes traveling around the forest in awe and excitement. "Aw heck ya! Of course!" He mewed in response to his mentor's question about learning to hunt, turning his gaze to Newtbelly's with renewed excitement.
