Ears perked at the sound of Mossfreckle's call for an herb lesson, Mistfall turned her attention to the lichen-covered den opening for the medicine cats. An offer of herbal knowledge from the medicine cats? Sounded like a fine way to spend some downtime. The grey diluted tortie stood and padded her way over to the growing gathering of cats willing for a lesson. Looking around she noticed that most of the cats around were kits and apprentices. Mistfall didn't let that get under her fur though - not only were there other warriors present, but it was never a bad idea to have some emergency healing information close at paw.
Mist settled in the back of the group where she could keep an eye on any rambunctious kits, yet still hear and see any of Mossfreckle or Rookfire's demonstrations. She curled her tail around her paws and sat up straight waiting to learn.

Silentpaw turned his head slightly to Stempaw's voice and was about to give him a silent greeting but the thought of it instantly vanished once he heard the apprentice's tone of voice. He briefely looked him up and down before pinning his ears back, though his expression stayed neutral. So what if he was "interested in plants"? Anything to learn about... Er... Learning to help cats not bleed out. What was Stempaw's point???

Icekit blinked cluelessly at the tabby kit, before realising with a start that the nod was probably directed towards her. She waved a paw at him in greeting.
Stempaw noticed Silentpaw’s ears pin back but his expression stayed the same. A low growl emanated from Stempaw. Stars that was so annoying! “Ugh, don’t you show any expression?” He grumbled. “Anyway, what’s got you interested in this? You thinking of being a medicine cat instead?” While he meant it as a genuine question, his tone sounded sharper than he meant it to.
Bramblekit nodded at Icekit when she waved and waved back, figuring that she hadn’t realized he had greeted her. She was nice. Quiet, but nice. He didn’t mind that, gave him a moment to be at peace too.

Silentpaw scoffed internally. While he did notice that it might have been a genuine question, he couldn't help but feel annoyed by his sharp tone of voice. Seriously, how could Newtbelly tolerate him?? Clearing his mind, he decided to think of... Something else. Something else that Stempaw said. Did he want to be a medicine cat? Sure, that wouldn't sound so bad. A good help to the Clan. The heart of the Clan, more likely. It would be an honour to acquire such rank. He could have the potential to be a medicine cat, could he not?
But no, he wasn't about to say all that to teh cream-coloured apprentice. Giving Stempaw a mere shrug, he turned away, not wanting to meet his eyes.

Finally an event worth her time. Quietpaw only remembered a pawful of poisons Mossfreckle taught in her kithood. Nothing too fancy just to know what was unsafe and to stay well away from. The absolute basics. It didn't offer much only the most common knowledge so she wouldn't accidentally get herself killed. Oh but this was actual healing knowledege and would give her an advantage and as usual, she was always looking for those.

Now that she thought about it, Quietpaw had interacted with most of her siblings yet Wispypaw never seemed to appear. Oh dear, well a lot of cats seemed to be gathering and if she wanted to avoid confrontation, why not scare cats off by making them think their eyes were playing tricks on them, hmm?
Without a word, Quietpaw seated herself next to her littermate and joined her in staring at the medicine cats. She just sat there silently for a good few moments before finally glancine at her twin. "This ought to be exciting, don't you think?" the paw chuffed at her sarcastic quip before once again turning back to to the medicine cats. She didn't want to engage in further conversation very much but it felt like a while she'd joked bluntly about so that was that.

This was a wonderful surprise to have when they felt someone come sit by them, a familiar someone. They had expected to sit this little event out all by their lonesome self, like always. Since they had only joined this event because moss was hosting it, they hadn't planned for any future conversations. Though it seemed their twin had some sort of ulterior motive going on behind the scenes. Their words and thoughts would be a lie if they said they weren't curious as to what Quietpaw was up to. Wispypaw silently eyed at their twin or well hoped they looked in the right direction. " Mm, I sure hope so or I'll just shrivel up out of pure boredom." there was their little side comment. Honestly, they had little to no hope of actually learning a few herbs during this little lesson. Not unless Moss realized they were here and went to the point of describing the plant as they did on their patrol. "You think he's trying to look for another apprentice or something?" why else hold this event if it wasn't for that.
