The clan looked.... Good for having just survived a natural disaster.

Spotting Cal the deputies ears flicked, noting he and Wolfcry were cuddled up. Cal had done really well to integrate himself and the tom stoically at him in approval. Though given the sheer number of windclan kits right now he kinda feared the idea of the two having kits soon as it currently felt like one more litter would overwhelm the clan. Wolfcry probably wouldnt get pregnant until she was off probation however, and Crowtooth didnt know she'd gotten started on her punishments. @Splitmoon @Red'fur

Onto other clanmates Hawkfur was there, injured as he was after the fire. Guilt was festering in Crowtooths heart over that, knowing that he was the cause of those. Hawkfur had pushed him out of the danger but taken the damage himself. Even if he said he was fine Crowtooth knew that to be a lie, and the deputy looked away from his brother and niece in guilt. @Mica

Lichenpaw was a bright spot in that, an cat he was proud of getting her just rewards for her heroic acts, and the tom just knew he was going to cheer hard at whatever her warrior name ended up being.

The tom had been surveying the clan as the soon to be apprentices gathered when a little form he'd not seen in a bit sidled it, prompting a surprised blink. Rabbitpaw.... Well Rabbitpaw hadnt been a common sight of late. Between Crowtooths duties and Rabbitpaw either just not being around for awhile or purposefully avoiding the deputy (he figured it wasnt the case but it was hard to not feel that way sometimes)the two had been distant. But......
"Screw the rules. Its more o' a slight tradition anyways."

Bending over from his slight vantage point Rabbitpaw was promptly scooped up, the small apprentice never a straight for the large muscled tom. It took some shuffling on the roots of the galewood tree but eventually the two could comfortably sit with the deputy still in position but with Rabbitpaw inbetween his front paws and pressed against his belly.
"There ya go, feel better? I aint gonna blame ya fer feelin' scared, I myself was right terrified durin' the fire, just had ta pretend I wasnt. Aint nothin' ta be ashamed o' wit' that fear.

Im glad ta see ya though, been wantin' ta do a check in fer awhile but we've been rather busy wit' our duties."
Now that he knew the distance wasnt intentional or something Rabbitpaw wanted the tom would be more aggressive about seeking his company. Hey maybe Rabbitpaw could meet his niblings soon properly, by bond they were cousins after all.

"My breathin' is ok, prolly should avoid extra chatterin'. I got a herb stuffed down my gullet an' Lightnin' deemed me fine after the fire so I aint a concern."
That much was pretty obvious at least, the rasping was worse then normal, almost scraggly or horse but he was still speaking and his breathing was LOUD but not thready. As far as damage went Crowtooth was nearly untouched.

Bouncepaw wryly flexes his paws. After he dug to stop the fire, his paws ached, and his pads were sore. But it was all worth it in the end. The fire didn't spread, and everycat was safe. None dead. And none injured that he knew of. Thank Starclan. He dips his head to Twilightstar, wondering if this was the end of this meeting, or if there was something more to be reported.

"You too." He meows, also nudging back his sister. "You were awesome." When he arrived at the site of the fire, he remembered Leechscar remarking that the fire had been small. Bouncepaw himself wasn't able to find it until the warriors directed him to it. He knew it was Daffodilpaw who helped find the fire. She'd always been good at spotting things. He felt proud for the both of them.

Twilightstar counted each kit as they arrived, a little surprised that she had all eight of them. She debated taking one of the little ones before her as a second apprentice. Lightningpaw had done a great job dealing with the fire alongside the other apprentices. Twilightstar hoped to get his training done within the next moon, if possible. Since she had contributed to this baby boom WindClan had, the least she could do was help with the training.

Yet, as much as she enjoyed the privilege of training brand-new apprentices, she knew mentors vanish like wind or sometimes face untimely demise. It'd probably be best if she focused on apprentices who keep having repeated reassignments and perhaps increasing the number of apprentices more dependable cats can train, or at least her furies and deputies.

"Cottonkit, Ashkit, Fallenkit, Sneezekit, Hollykit, Littlekit, Mistykit, and Owlkit. From this day forth until you receive your warrior names you'll be known as, Cottonpaw, Ashpaw, Fallenpaw, Sneezepaw, Hollypaw, Littlepaw, and Mistypaw. Owlkit, since WindClan already has an Owlpaw, you'll be known as Sparrowpaw." Twilightstar peered down at the young cat to see if there was any dissatisfaction with the name change.

"Sneezepaw your mentor is Rabbitfur. Daywhisper you'll mentor Ashpaw. Fallenpaw you'll be Blueclaw's apprentice. Hollypaw your mentor is Tawnyowl. Leechscar, once your paws heal up you'll train Cottonpaw. Deadmoon, you're apprentice is Mistypaw. Duckfeather, you'll mentor Sparrowpaw. Littlepaw your mentor is..." Twilightstar stopped and stared at the filthy dirt-covered troublemaker.

She hasn't heard anything about the youngster interested enough in tunneling to want tunneling training. However, with Rabbitpaw now having medicine cat duties and Crowtooth the clan deputy, officially WindClan had one fully trained tunneler until Vinepaw's ceremony.

"Littlepaw, your mentor is Dustbunny." It would be nice if that one further pursued her interest in digging, but tunnelers had enough warrior experience to train apprentices as traditional warriors. So Littlepaw could pursue either path with the mentor.

"Oh, and don't think I've forgotten about the havoc you've caused with the fresh kill, Littlepaw. You'll be missing your first gathering for that." She reminded the paw. She had heard the Crowtooth had gotten on Firestorm about restocking the prey for that stunt, but she didn't think Littlepaw should get off without some form of punishment she had done the crime.

"Reassignments, Leopardpaw and Dreamlight, Vixenpaw and Snowybreeze, Burnetpaw and Hawkfur, Quailpaw and Whiterabbit." Twilightstar fixed her gaze on Hawkfur, noting the tom's injuries. He and Leechscar would need time to heal but she figured giving them apprentices to tend to should be fine. The apprentices would have mentors to look to and the furies could always assign their training to another warrior until they were healed.

After giving all the mentors and apprentices a moment to meet and greet, Twilightstar fixed her attention on Lichenpaw.

"I, Twilightstar, leader of WindClan call up on our warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the warrior way and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Lichenpaw, do you promise to protect and serve your clan even at the cost of your life?"

It wasn't entirely unexpected. Honeypaw ought to be near the end of her training by now (Deadmoon would have to ask her apprentice what little niggly bits needed finished up), and there were an awful lot of kits getting apprenticed (with more on the way too) not to give a few warriors doubles. It made sense, really. She'd already done it, with Duckpaw and Honeypaw. Though, she realized, none of them had really made it to warriorhood. Honeypaw was close, that much was true. Deadmoon dearly hoped that, while they hadn't necessarily bonded as much as she had with the missing Duckpaw or Snowybreeze earlier, the quiet molly would become a warrior under her tutelage.

It would be something of an achievement for both of them. An apprentice with only one mentor was unfortunately something of a rarity now in the clans, and while she hadn't been the best mentor she was still about kicking, and getting Honeypaw her training. A bit more hunting, a bit more fighting, and maybe a climbing lesson for yucks, and they'd be set. Or at least she hoped so. Paws crossed that Honeypaw had gotten the hang of rabbit hunting on her own, because Deadmoon sure as anything couldn't help her if she didn't. So hopefully Honeypaw was fine!

Now it was time to greet Mistypaw. Her eyes found the young molly relatively quickly, and she got up to make her way over to the new apprentice. Nice to meet you Mistypaw! Deadmoon mewed, doing her best to appear welcoming and friendly. It might have worked. We'll do a territory tour after the meeting. Up to you whether you want to sit with me or not. She sort of selfishly wanted to stay with Owlpaw, so....turned around. Turned around and made her way back to the older apprentice, plopping back down onto her butt.

Windkit was ECSTATIC for her sister. She was an apprentice now! Wow! Her best friend who was also her sister was an apprentice! Though, she couldn't help but snort when she heard what Twilightstar had to say about her. Was Littlek- Littlepaw really that bad?

"Littleki-uh Littlepaw! Littlepaw, congrats!" Windkit chirped happily, leaning her head against Littlepaw (rather aggressively). "You're an apprentice now! Good luck on your training, I heard some warriors don't like troublemakers." Her voice dropped to a whisper at her last few words. Well, it was probably more like "all warriors", but who cares?

Hollypaw puffed his chest up as he looked around the clearing, Tawnyowl? Who's that? He'd never even heard the name before, but with Windclan's ever-growing numbers that wasn't entirely surprising. The mostly white tom could barely contain his excitement as he bounced from paw to paw.

He shot a glance toward his sister, giving her a short nod before looking for his mentor once more.

Eight new apprentices. More new warriors for WindClan. Lichenpaw knew what pride felt like, and this was a similar feeling, but it was less pride in herself, and more pride in her Clan. WindClan was strong, and WindClan was thriving, and Lichenpaw couldn't be prouder. Speaking of- Twilightstar turns to address her now, and the calico sits up straighter.

"I swear on my life," she says solemnly, and she means it, she really, really does.

Daywhisper cheered for her kits as they were both made apprentices. Tears began to form in the she-cat's eyes as she proudly called out their names "Hollypaw! Fallenpaw!" She called out proudly, watching Hollypaw perk up and smile back, a rare gesture nowadays.

The next words caught her off guard, wait- she was being given an apprentice herself to train? oh, stars- She glanced around the clearing, trying to locate Ashkit. She'd seen him around the nursery a few times while watching over Holly and Fallen. She managed to catch a glimpse of him, Day quietly made her way through the crowd and toward him. Was she really ready for an apprentice? especially after being out of practice for the last six moons-

She shook her head, no. She was ready. Daywhisper took a deep breath as she was now nearing her new apprentice. She flashed a gentle smile, bowing her head in greeting "Hello Ashpaw. I'll be your mentor" She said softly, her tail gently swaying behind her.
