Interaction For:

The tom nodded, glad he was assigned in a group with his mother-figure. He went ahead, following into the woods and scenting the air. He was a quite alright hunter, he found it enjoyable. He picked up on the familiar smell of a toad spotting it from the corner of his eye. He went into a crouch then pounced.

Look at this: She had been placed in a group with a familiar cat from before, which was nice. The downside now was that she was in a smaller group with cats she'd never interacted with. She would fix that later, hopefully. No way would she be a stranger in what would hopefully be her new home. Springburst might not have given a verbal agreement, but she did nod her head and moved with her little buddy system. A quick sniff of the air around her as she tried to see if there was any prey to be caught at the moment.

half of his attention still trained on his apprentice, the medic let his eyes wander, maw agape to taste the air. with this many cats there was hardly a reason for him to participate but the need to keep up to standard and not let any skills whisp away over the time he wouldnt be forced to hunt if not necesarry or asking to be placed on patrols (which he would do, but thats besides the point).
he remained standing only a few steps from where he had given the last few commands to his group, carefully eyeing them to see if they would follow his orders. over the moons and with one too many ridiculous accidents or well..instances, rookfire had learned to expect the very bare minimum from everyone at all times. save most of the other enforcers and shadowclan high ranks of course, he wasnt that up in his head. straying a bit from his little two person group, rookfire took to sniffing around the greenery, head coming up to follow a bird with his eyes once in a while, before picking up a particular scent.
rabbit.
if he was anything besides petty and a liar, it was a passionate hater of the art of hunting. so a rabbit, with its rather large size, was perfect. why catch 3 mice when you can expand a bit more energy at once to catch one rabbit? easy as. carefully lowered into a hunters crouch, the medic approached at a calculated slow pace, striped tail lifted far enough off the ground to not disturb the flora around until the rabbit, a plump light brown thing with tiny specs of white, came into view. he halted, eyes darting upwards to watch the leaves move in the wind. downwind, it shouldnt have noticed him yet.
he pushed closer, choosing the cover of long blades of grass or half-grown bushes whenever possible until he found himself in leaping distance. muscles tensing and ear almost straining with how much it was focussed forward on the animal, he took another breath, reminding himself waiting was a lost opportunity in most chances, and pounced on the thing.

As a reminder:

- There will be a five-round system where we will roll dice for each cat participating. The results will be as follows:
* 1-5 = automatic fail; you miss the catch.
* 6-10 = you catch one piece (and perhaps not as smoothly as you'd want).
* 11-15 = you catch two pieces! look at you!
* 16-20 = you catch three pieces, wowza!

**Note: if you have the Ultimate Predator purrk, your dice will be rolled twice! The better outcome of the two will be chosen. Please notify us if you have this purrk if it's not listed on your header/posts!**
- But beware! Not all numbers are as they seem... some random numbers between 1-20 have been chosen as 'trapped'. Rolling these digits might land you in a rather inconvenient situation. Each group will have different 'trapped' numbers. Perhaps the dice will be kind to you? Perhaps not...

- This will be a semi-fast-paced event where we will be wanting to roll every 2-3 days to keep it moving, so if you're participating, please be ready to respond! No post means no dice rolls, so if there isn't one, we will skip over you for that roll.

Neat. Three squirrels! That was a lot. The most he'd ever caught in a row, actually. Determined to keep his streak, Silentpaw continued to search the woods. A sweet and pungent scent travelled to his nose. A sparrow! Silentpaw had never attempted to catch a bird before. He lowered himself to the ground, now moving faster than he was when attempting to catch the squirrel.

He sprung at the winged creature, forepaws extended in an attempt to catch the prey in his claws.
