DuskKit padded up to where TwilightStar was holding the meeting, settling in towards the back to just watch and observe. He knew a couple of the other kits.. but he'd honestly rather not approach any of them because he was sure they'd go off like a chatterbox.
He'd heard some of them calling TwilightStar: "twillystar". Which in his opinion, was just... weird. How does Twilight go to Twilly? It didn't make sense.
* He padded over to Wolfcry and purred rubbing his muzzle against hers as he sat down next to her. He purred and pressed himself against her. He wrapped his tail around her shoulder. *

Wolfcry looked at her mate. "Do you think we'll be wonderful parents?" she asked with tilt of her head. She always wanted kits, and now that she was mates with a wonderful tom. She did want some.

" Shhh, I want to show Crowtooth how dedicated I am. "

Twilightstar wasted little time once the clan had gathered. "Cottonkit, Ashkit, Hollykit, Sneezekit, Fallenkit, Littlekit, Mistykit, and Owlkit, come sit at the roots of the Galewood."That was a lot of kit to apprentice for WindClan. Yet, even with the possibility of eight of them now out of the nursery, Twilightstar had her little concerns.
"Lichenpaw, your ceremony will be right after theirs so settle in behind them," Twilightstar called the apprentice with an encouraging smile. It's been some time since Lichenpaw's return to WindClan and she seemed to flourish under Crowtooth's tutelage and now it was finally time for her to join the ranks of a warrior.
Lichenpaw, Vinepaw, Bouncepaw, and Birchpaw were among the few apprentices who had played vital roles during the fire. She couldn't forget Leopardpaw and Maggotpaw who had tended to the elders. Among the apprentices, Twilightstar was hoping to add a few of them to the Furies when they reached warriorhood.
WindClan could use more dependable cats among the rank, and between Dapplebreeze, Batglare, Hawkfur, Deadmoon, and Leechscar, the five should be able to make up for the lack of experience the greener warriors would have. Oh, that's right, had she ever mentioned Deadmoon's new rank?
While waiting for all the kits and apprentice to take their places, Twilightstar announced that along with a few punishments. "For those unaware, Deadmoon has been promoted to a Fury." Twilightstar nodded to the more stoic she-cat. "We're glad to have you as a part of the team, I know you'll make a great addition." She was sure Wolffang would have been among the first to congratulate the she-cat.
"For those of you who fought the fires and defended the camp, all of WindClan thanks you for your tireless dedication to your clan. Few clans can say they fought fire and won! So hold your heads high, for WindClan is safe thanks to several brave souls, and those few in StarClan still looking out for us." It was quick thinking and ultimately teamwork that saved the day. Twilightstar's faith in StarClan is far from restored, but she is happy to know she had cats like Crowtooth's mother still looking after her clan even in death.
"However, we're not without a few bad apples. Autumnwhisper, Lionscar, Nightfall, and Ferretkit. I'm sure you have your excuses, but all four of you disobeyed direct orders from me and Crowtooth multiple times. In such emergencies, I cannot have cats failing to listen and causing trouble. You four will visit my den after this meeting so I can decide your punishments. You should expect heavy punishments for failing to heed your deputy and leader's orders."

Sneezekit bolted forward. Even now, they couldn't help but glance about, wondering if they could catch sight of their siblings in the crowd, but no. They couldn't let the smile fade from their face, though--not today!

Autumnwhisper knew that was coming. It knew it disobeyed orders, it failed to listen, and so it had so endure whatever punishments were decided. So it would, it swore a silent oath to listen to the high ranks and to never disobey them again. Now that it has taken the time to think about it, Autumnwhisper could see now that it was a foolish decision. At least it wasn't alone, but honestly it couldn't tell if that made it feel better or worse about the whole situation.
Autumnwhisper thought that taking the time to get used to whatever punishment was going to be decided and reflecting on their wrongdoings would be best.
It wanted to choke out a quiet, whispered 'sorry', but not like it was an appropriate time, not like it would be heard, not like sorry would help anyone. So it left it at that.

The Fury poked his head out of the warrior's den, blinking to adjust to the light. Oh! A meeting. Hawkfur pulled himself out of the den, hind leg smarting under the bandages of cobwebs. The fire had eaten through his fur and scorched his right hind leg as her had been fighting the fire with his patrol in the Sky Glade, but it had been his fault for not paying closer attention to the blaze and how close it was getting to the others. Lightningstorm had done a wonderful job of healing it, even if he didn't think it was necessary. It was hardly the first scar he had gotten! But something about infection and "stop disobeying me or I'll tell Crowtooth to sit on you" had convinced the russet tom to stay put.
"Real warriors at least get singed fur!" A voice piped up in his head, and he chuckled. Well, at least he wasn't disappointing his dead wife. He hoped.
Luckily, though, he was given the all-clear to return to his duties as long as he made sure to keep the cobwebs on his haunches clean and not rip at them. The burn was itchy, so it was hard, but oh well.
Twilightstar had called for everyone, and the injured Fury wasn't about to miss a clan meeting. He spotted a small kit near the front of the crowd, and his spirits immediately lifted. Hobbling over to her, Hawkfur greeted Egretkit with a lick. "How are you doing today, Egretlove? Are your brothers around?" He hadn't seen them since the fire, but Leopardsong and Firestorm had assured everyone that the kits were safe.

"papa!!" egretkit cheers, purr rumbling in her tiny chest as her father greets her with a lick. "I'm super duper good today!! are you good, too?" she inquires as she shuffles closer to hawkfur, attempting to pull her signature move and plop down right on his paws. papa is squishy, so he's the perfect seat. then, she notices something, and she squints. "hey, papa! what's that stuff on your leg?" it looked very odd. and white. clearly, it's not his fur, because he is red!
she tilts her head, brows knitted as she glances around. "well, um..I don't think crowy or gracks followed me! maybe they're near the back, though..uhh, I dunno.." she says, voice falling to a murmur by the end. nope, her brothers definitely didn't follow her out of the nursery. and they weren't sitting beside her and papa. maybe they were napping? or near the back? "i'm sure they'll show up!" she reasons with a nod. gracklekit and crowkit were her brothers, so they were like, awesome! no reason for them to not show up. anywho, twillystar is saying something, so she'd better listen.
the tabby's jaw drops at a familiar name being called. "SNEEZY!!" she cries out, blue eyes locking onto the grey tabby as they pad up to the galewood. "hey! papa! I know them, I'm friends with them! that's awesome, right? my friend is gonna be an app-reeemmnn-tice!" she trills, aiming a few pokes at her to ensure he's listening before lifting a paw to point at sneezekit.
the other things twilightstar says are interesting too, of course. she's pretty sure papa is a fooory, so miss deadmoon becoming one is as awesome as a juicy mouse - aka, very awesome! but oh no, it sounds like some of her clanmates caused some trouble. that's not good.

Just prior to the meeting and being called over, the small calico had been digging in the dirt, practicing moves that Dustbunny had taught her, so her front half was covered in dust. The whites of her pelt were now a dusty brown color, but she didn't give it a second thought as she scooted in closer to the Galewood. She saw one of her friends come sit at the base, too, so she took no time in settling next to them, giving them a light nudge. "We're gonna be apprentices, Sneezy!!!" She'd trill quietly to her friend.
Her blue eyes would glide over the gathered cats behind her, looking for MedicineMa or FireMa, maybe any of her siblings. So far, none had showed up. Maybe Windy would! Her bestest friend and sister was sure to show up! She couldn't miss this spectacular moment! Then her eyes would look up at TwiStar again, almost vibrating in place from the excitement coursing through her. Surely, she'd get the best mentor!! Had to!
