[Takes place not long after the current meeting. lmk if this needs any editing!]
══════════════
The meeting was finally over. Now she just needs to focus on her training if she's going to prove herself any worth. She needs to find Brokenstream for that. What did Stormstar say she needed first off? Borders..and territory. Right. Makes sense. After that go swimming. She already knows there's probably a few spots like that in a clan like riverclan. Her eyes went on the search for the golden bengal; which didn't take long considering he was at the meeting as well. Here she goes. "Brokenstream," she called out, looking at the tom and keeping her gaze stable "Let's go, Stormstar said to the territory first. I'm ready to head out now" Didn't Brokenstream get like..one other apprentice..? She damn hope that won't get in the way anytime soon. She doubts they'd be able to complete all her training in a day. It'll probably take..a bit. But she was prepared.
She was also slightly curious what the rest of the territory looks like. So far she's only seen the borders with the outskirts where she came from. It could give her a gist of what these cats are like and what kind of taste they have in territory if she was ever gonna make herself part of the clan.

Ears perked as his name was called, the tom turned his head to face Sora- no, Soaringpaw now- his new apprentice. Brokenstream's whiskers twitched in amusement. She seemed quite eager to start- that was a good sign. He certainly looked forward to the young former outsider dedicating her spunk to the Clan. "Good, glad to see you're ready." He purred, padding up to the she-cat. "We can leave right now then." He briefly shook out his pelt before beckoning Soaringpaw to follow with his tail as he headed towards the camp entrance. "It's quite a bit of a trek, mind you," The Lionheart warned as he walked. "Walking the whole territory will take all day, so if you need a break, tell me."
He glanced behind him to check that she was following. "Hmm...we'll start with the..." The bengal paused, looking thoughtful for a moment. ThunderClan wouldn't do for now...not after the incident with Larkwing. He blinked apologetically at Soaringpaw. "Sorry, kid, but there is one border we'll be avoiding today. ThunderClan- they recently attacked a Clanmate, Larkwing, and left her badly injured. It's safest to avoid it for now." He would have to show her eventually, of course, but today was not that day. She had much more to learn about Clan life before potentially being put into a dangerous situation like Salamanderpaw. Brokenstream shook his head in frustration but quickly realized that this could be turned into a lesson.
"Ah, that's right. I suppose you've only heard of RiverClan now." He mused as he padded onward. "There's three other Clans- four total, including us," He began to lecture, glancing back to make sure Soaringpaw was listening. "ThunderClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan." He paused in his tracks for a moment, turning to face his apprentice with a serious stare. "Something you must learn now- you are loyal to RiverClan and to RiverClan alone. You have our scent by this point, so other Clans won't take kindly to you traipsing on their land." His green gaze burned into Soaringpaw, trying to emphasize how serious he was. "There will be a time, once every moon, where all the Clans gather together for a meeting like the one you just saw at a neutral location called Fourtrees. You must not quarrel with the other Clans while there, and you can mingle, but I highly suggest not making any close friendships." Brokenstream backed off for a moment, once again harboring an apologetic expression. "You'll meet some great and interesting cats, and it's a good way to learn about your enemies in the future- but that's just it. Once the truce is over, we are enemies." He shrugged, turning back around and beginning to wall again. "Battle hides from no foe." He whisked his tail.
"First, we'll go to Sedgewater Valley- and remember- no crossing the scent line. If it doesn't smell like us, it's not us."
( @Minkuu - hallo !! he actually will only be having soaringpaw o7 but everything else is fine! - no need to edit if you don't want to ^^ )

Soaringpaw followed the lionheart; the thought of taking a whole day to walk in the territory didn't really surprise her that much. A lot of cats means a lot of land. And she already felt what it's like to walk for long period without a break back in the outskirts. It wasn't pleasant but in her eyes, it was neccesary. Even if she hasn't she wouldn't want the break. The apprentice would rather complete it all in one go than to stop every now and then
She was...slightly intrigue and just a tad bit concerned when Brokenstream mention an incident where one of the bordering clans attacked someone. So, clearly these clans aren't friendly to each other. Thunderclan. She'll remember that name. "Understood. Is there a reason for the attack?" she asked, expression unchanging though in her tone there's a bit of interest; especially if these clans live near each other, shouldn't they be..friendlier? Though cats come in all shapes and attitudes, she'd know. And most things happen for a reason. Now the she-cat knew to be cautious around thunderclan, at least. As much as she wanted to see the borders. She remembered Stormstar mentioning while Riverclan was gone, the other clans probably stunk up the place back at the meeting. Does that mean the other clans didn't care about borders while Riverclan was absent? It's rather..questionable. So she takes it these guys probably dislike each ither. Why Riverclan was gone to begin with?
"I figured there was more than one clan. Stormstar did mention 'other clans'" 4 in total. Not a lot, but not a little. Those names were weird, so to say. First Riverclan, then Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Windclan. She already knows Rivrclan's water and swimming skills so that made sense. Shadowclan? Maybe they stalk throught the shadows. That's another thing to look out for if she's ever caught up in a fight. Windclan..she could she it happening. Could be that their territory is more open and windy or that they're fast. If that's the case Windclanners were possibly speedier and leaner. Another thing to remember. But what the hell is a thunderclan? What could Thunder mean?
Soaringpaw was slightly taken aback on the inside when Brokenstream looked at her with serious eyes and started to talk about the borders "I understand, scent lines and borders are to be respected. I don't have a deathwish nor do I need any scars." she may have hit her head somewhere and lost her past but she wasn't stupid, she knew she shouldn't cross the border. She wasn't trying to be an idiot just to look cool or assertive. She's trying to be alive here.
So every moon the clans gather at a singular location. That sounds dangerous, if they were willing to attack each other during other times. "It's an actual neutral location? Every clan follows that rule and no one ever plans to backstab the rest?" that was one of the questions lingering in her head. She knew she'd never get comfortable in such a place. Probably thousands of cats. From different clans. She won't let her guard down. She had slightly relieved once Brokenstream wasn't being so serious anymore. So, gatherings are a way to study her future enemies? That was good to note if she wanted to know another's weakness; so that was one of the reasons to go.
As the two started walking again, they eventually reached their first location; Sedgewater Valley. Heathers n' hills. And it smells like that too. For two clans that border each other their scents were way different. Cliffs. A fall like that might lead a cat to their death. Or at least it might lead them to some injuries. She'd have to be careful here. Enemy cats and cliffs. Two in one border. "It...can't be shadowclan" not dark and gloomy enough "Windclan?"

Brokenstream shrugged with a frown when Soaringpaw asked if there was a reason for ThunderClan's attack on Larkwing. "I'm not sure. It just occurred so not much info is known yet, and Larkwing needs to recover before we start pressuring her for information if needed." He sighed, stomach churning once again as he vividly remembered the awkward and unnatural angle of her leg and tail. "ThunderClan, WindClan, ShadowClan...the lot of them all. They can't be trusted." He growled, briefly pausing to dig his claws into the ground. "But unfortunately, just because they have no honor does not mean we stoop to their level. We must show them at least...some degree of respect. But as long as their inside their borders and not ours again...I could give a rat's-" The tom paused, glancing at Soaringpaw. "Er...I couldn't care less about what they do. Point is- don't trust them. They're not your friends." He tone was gruff as he drove in his point, but once again he attempted to go back to his normal, friendly personality as he shot his apprentice a smile. "You seem to have some wits about you though, kid. I'm only telling you to make you extra sure." He purred, swiping his tell gently over her ears.
"And yes, Seastones is an actual neutral location." He nodded as they began to pull up towards the WindClan border. "Well...no cat is supposed to go against the will of StarClan and start any issues at Gatherings...but I can't say it hasn't happened before." Brokenstream conceded with a sympathetic glance at Soaringpaw. "Being in a Clan means your safety is never guaranteed, but the entire Clan will still fight to the death to do their best to keep you safe."
Finally they arrived at the WindClan border, and Brokenstream watched with interest as his apprentice began scenting the air. His eyes lit up in a mixture of surprise and pride as she guessed correctly on her first try. "Very good! This is WindClan. Their a bunch of rabbit chasers. Fish-hearted if you ask me- they definitely can't be trusted." It had not escaped his mind that WindClan seemed to be the primary drive behind RiverClan's exile. His eyes narrowed as he stared silently across the border for a moment before facing back to Soaringpaw. "Any questions about WindClan or the borders? If not, we'll go ahead and take our leave towards Saltmeadow Marsh."
( @Minkuu - omg pretend I called Fourtrees "Seastones" in my last post my brain is fried )

An unknown reason didn’t mean there wasn’t one. Whether it was out of spite or crossing the border. She wasn’t sure how bad the attack was, but if Larkwing’s recovering and it needs time then it would’ve been at least moderate. Or fatal. It wouldn’t have been just a mild attack; for whatever reason it was, even if she rarely lets her guard down in the first place, the borders are somewhere no one shouldn’t let their guard down at. Anything could happen when two enemies meet. Her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, pondering over her thoughts for a bit "At the meeting Stormstar also mentioned the clan had been gone at some point" the more she thinks, the more she’s sure it had something to do with these bordering clans, especially at the emphasis that they shouldn’t be trusted. And Brokenstream’s claws seeping in the ground. It seems Riverclan really hates the others "If you don’t trust these clans, if you take a dislike towards them, why return where the chances of an attack is higher instead of finding somewhere else safer?" why go back to clans that you know shouldn’t be trusted when you just could’ve lived elsewhere? Where things are more at peace? Where things are easier to deal with? She didn’t understand. It could be that the territory holds a special meaning to them. But they were willing to abandon two landmarks, changed camps a couple times, and even had a new gravesite where cats would be mourned. They definitely could’ve moved permanently if they really wanted to.
Riverclan respected them? Even a little bit? That seems rather forced. And she knew some of the cats in this clans felt forced to. "I don’t plan on befriending them" how unsurprising. Wits? Well, she’d silently appreciate the complement; that means there's at least one cat now in this clan thinks she’s could think properly. Soaringpaw really isn’t a cat that would just easily make friends with everyone she meets. She doesn’t even know if she could fully trust her new clan let alone clans that'd became her enemies as soon as she joined. No cat is truly ever good. Everyone is bound to do something in their life that might’ve upset or saddened someone. She may not remember her past but that doesn’t mean she never made a mistake. Ever. But that’s one thing that upsets her, she won’t learn from her past mistakes if she can’t even recall any. Was she a good cat or a troublemaker? Was she a hardworker or a lazy house cat that never did any work? She's assumed she was some sort of rogue or loner but she could’ve also been a cat with humans. She doesn’t have any scars to tell her tale and she doesn’t know if her personality was different before. This wasn’t the time to have a crisis of who she was as a living being
The seastones are an actual neutral location..? Because of..starclan’s..will? There’s only 4 clans. So Starclan is excluded from that number. And the name 'star' as well as their will needing to be followed by everyone in the clans. Unfortunately this will doesn’t seem to extend to borders "If trouble arises on a place protected by the star’s will I can imagine the border fights" physical fights and argument fights. Both seem like a hassle though one is more dangerous than the other if Larkwing's case is anything to judge. It seems like anything could happen during gatherings and borders. Places where cats are closer to their enemy clans. It’s rather hazardous. 'Being in a Clan means your safety is never guaranteed' "usually being alive means your safety is never guaranteed in the first place" has never been guaranteed. Life is a place where the saint and the bloodthirsty always lives in the same world. Even the weakest seeming creatures could be dangerous under the right circumstances. Safety and peace is inconsistent. No matter the place, no matter the age. Of course the clan has each other’s backs at all cost, though she doubts most of them would bother fighting for an outsider that just joined the clan. That was a big doubt lingering in her mind. Maybe someday when she's been living there for longer they will, though it’s still better if she learns how to fight for herself first
Yeah..she was correct about it not being shadowclan alright. It's..actually pretty obvious if one looks at it long enough. Rabbit chasers. So they are fast. She'd look out for that if she ever comes across one. According to Brokenstream, they're fish hearts that can't be trusted at all. She just knows something happened. First Thunderclan, now Windclan. Time to wait for Shadowclan. He had a pretty different reaction when he explained Windclan at their time in this Sedgewater Valley compared to when he explained they won't be going to Thunderclan's border yet. It almost seems like Windclan is less trustable than Thunderclan. What's worse than Thunderclan attacking Larkwing? She guessed it had to be something big. It was nice that her mentor gave her a chance to ask questions before they head out to Shadowclan's border- whis was apparently Saltmeadow Marsh- because...she definitely had one, or two rather. Even if one was slightly more unexpected than the other "what did Windclan do that makes them especially untrustable..?" she was both prepared and unprepared for whatever the answer would be. She knew it was bad but she wasn't sure how bad it could possibly be and it irks her. She waited for a moment before taking a last glace at the steep cliffs of the rivers "has anyone ever died by falling off those..? This border in general seems rather..dangerous. Even without Windclan in mind. Someone could slip and fall and it also seems pretty possible for a murderer to push their clanmate off then pretend their victim had just accidentally fallen in. Of course pushing someone off would've gave them risks of falling in as well; but even if, that doesn't mean it's impossible to do at all" That was a question she had out of curiosity and concern, as well as her own distrust. Because it seems almost too easy. That fall looks like one that could kill. Another thing to add on the list of reasons she should never let her guard down.

Brokenstream sighed at Soaringpaw's stream of questions. Not the questions themselves, of course, but the weight they held. He looked thoughtful for a moment before answering. "You bring up a fair point. Why stay here if there's going to inevitably be more trials and danger in the future?" The tom glanced up at the sky before resuming speaking again. "Many, many, many moons ago- long before even you and I were ever even a thought to exist, mind you- the Clans came to this territory and made it their own. While there is also trial in battles, there will always be some form of triumph on the losing side. While there is weakness in only being one of the four, there is strength in it as well." He blinked slowly as he looked back down at his apprentice. She was so young. So naïve to the ways of the Clan. She would have to learn quickly to survive here, but Brokenstream didn't even have a flicker of a doubt that her spirit would guide her in the right direction. "For example, when the other three Clans decided to...for lack of better wording...gang up on us, we were unable to win that fight. Three against one, it's just not realistic." The Lionheart shook his head sadly. "Many lives were lost. Too many. But they fought for RiverClan, and they fought for their home. We cannot forsake their spirits in StarClan, first and foremost." Grief flashed briefly in his light green eyes before he continued. "But in strife, there may be times where we need their help as well- or they will need ours. The Clans started with four, there needs to remain four to keep balance." Brokenstream cast a disdainful glance over the WindClan border. "Even if they are a bunch of no-good...never mind." He sighed, shrugging. "The point is, whether the other Clans are fish-for-brains who realize it or not, the forest needs RiverClan. And RiverClan needs the forest. This has and always will be our home, where hundreds, if not thousands, of cats have lived and died to protect. We must honor their memory."
As Soaringpaw switched the topic to StarClan, the Lionheart let out a small chuckle. "StarClan are our ancestors- the spirits of cats who have passed away to live in bliss in bountiful hunting grounds up above, with no real borders up there. Cats from all Clans live in harmony after passing." He explained briefly before glancing up at the sky again. "Silverpelt, as you may here some call it, are the stars watching us above." He chuffed as the young she-cat made a comment about how being alive means your safety is never guaranteed. "Of course not, furball." He mewed, batting her ear playfully with sheathed claws. "But you're RiverClan now! Which means you're protected by the best Clan in the forest- after all, it took three of them to drive us out, they were so scared!" He joked before getting up and stretching.
'what did Windclan do that makes them especially untrustable..?'
The question rung in the bengal's ears, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Those rabbit-hearts are the one's who began conspiring with the other Clans to kick us out. They're cowardly and weak. They knew they couldn't take us alone and win." He scoffed, jerking his head away from the border. Taking his attention away from his annoyance and now asking about the cliffs, Brokenstream peeked curiously over the edge. "Not that I'm aware of- but I wouldn't be shocked. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this but just be careful. The edges may not be as sturdy as they seem. Now let's get going before WindClan starts to stink up my fur." To Saltmeadow Marsh they go.

══════════════
She listened to her mentor's explanation, noting down his words in her mind. So the clans came here and has been staying here for years, probably longer than anyone could ever imagine to live. Battles were bound to happen if 4 whole clans with differing opinions border each other but even the losing side had some form of triumph. She wasn’t sure how that worked, if someone loses a battle that’d be sort of humiliating as it makes them look weak, won’t it? That’s what Soaringpaw had always thought. How does one find victory in lost? Was it simply some form of confidence or something alike? An achievement found even after a clan loses their battle? Soaringpaw's been on the losing side ever since she woke up; and that’s why she wanted to grow stronger. Had she been..caught up in trying to make herself less weak that she's convinced herself a lost is a lost? That wasn't something she ever expected to come across during this tour. The clans don't stay here for no reason, they stay here because they've been here for moons; even through the thick and thin. That was already different than her own ideal. But maybe if Riverclan had abandoned the other clans and stayed where they were they would've been seen as even more cowardice.
Riverclan really was driven out by the clans. All three of them. Yeah, that wouldn't have been realistic to even imagine winning, so what sort of crime had riverclan done to deserve the punishment? Where all the clans somehow formed an army and drove them out? It must've been something big. Murder? Tresspassing? Or something even worst? Currently Stormstar seemed to have a good grip with her clan, and most things seems to be going smoothly. Was it something with the leader before her? This Fades guy as Stormstar called him. Then every clan would have their own strengths and weaknesses. No one's better than the other. No one's worse either. Multiple cats fought for their home and died doing so, but they died with honor and’ll be remembered for it. The grief in Brokenstream’s eyes seems to say as much. Even if those cats lost their fight they still win the respect of their clanmates...
The clans started with 4 and that hasn’t changed. It’s hard to imagine nothing has changed with the clans as a whole, but not entirely impossible. She was sure there had to have been a few changes after all these years. The clans possibly needing riverclan's help and vice versa is hard to grasp, especially since they literally ganged up on Riverclan. The thought seemed rather embarrassing for any of the other clans to come crawling to Riverclan's helpafter exiling them from the forest. And she wasn't sure if most cats from this clan even wanted to help. She was sure at least some of them would rather watch the other clans suffer than to help. Cats are odd. Sometimes they’re kind and understanding, sometimes they could watch you beg for help without doing anything. That's one of the reasons everyone can’t be too dependent on others. Betrayal sucks and it’s impact could leave a mark.
Soaringpaw wouldn’t exactly call them fish-for-brains if they could plan an attack without Riverclan noticing. Although fish-for-brains isn’t really the worst thing you can call them. But she’d notice how this had to be the second time Brokenstream was about to say something before backtracking. First one was about rats and the other was 'no-good..something'. Maybe he didn’t count, but she sure did "The clans need each other, and a lot of cats have sacrificed themselves for riverclan's place in the forest...right, I think I get it" she gave his explanation a nod. While she doesn’t feel the same way at all, she could understand where he's coming from. His explanation was clear enough to understand for the most part. Although she felt the need to ask why the other 3 clans decided to gang up on Riverclan in the first place. She had a feeling either most of the cats knew why or barely anyone knew why. It’s one or the other she figures
Now..starclan. That was almost a whole different topic. Starclan is a clan about their ancestors, a paradise for cats of all clans. Interesting. He mentions they all live in harmony, but if this was a place for dead cats she can't exactly be sure if they truly get along with each other that much. Happy, sure. But they probably have way different views on how things are supposed to be. Starclan sounds rather big if every dead clan cat goes there. Bountiful hunting sounds nice, but then again..what about cats who can’t hunt? Like kits or..her..? Not- not that she’s gonna die anytime soon and she hopes she doesn't but going forward do they just magically gain the abilities to hunt or do they just..exist? She doubts Brokenstream knows that much about death if he's still alive, so that’s a question for..someone else. Soaringpaw gave a quick glance towards the sky once she saw Brokenstream doing the same. Stars aren't visible during the day. So no point in that. They’re outshined by the sun. No matter what it is..there’s always something that outshines it. In any way. She’s seen stars before, during the time she was an outsider. Constantly moving, night and day. There were a plentiful of stars. Farther than she could ever reach. If this so-called starclan watches the living's every move, they could've known what happened to her. But she doubts they pay attention to anything outside the clan. She really had no one at her time outside the clan, huh?
The batting took her by surprise, and she didn’t have a clue how to make a reaction to it that isn't glancing at him with those emotionless eyes on her face. She wasn’t a playful type of cat and anyone could see that from a mile away. Best clan in the forest? A riverclanner saying riverclan is the best clan in the forest? Why was she so unsurprised by this revelation? "..I should've expected this answer.." Her point still stands though; she doubts everyone would fight to the death for her. Hard to think anyone would actually fight to death for an outsider that just joined. But..she figured that’s why she needed to prove herself she's reliable and strong. So the clan would see she’s not an outsider who just wants to let the clan handle their problems for them. One that'd be willing to earn her spot instead of having it handed out to her. Then when she actually gets the spot it'd felt more like an achievement.
She looked at Brokenstream, his narrowed eyes when he explained why windclan was to be untrusted was a stark difference from how he acted a question ago. But..she wasn't too shocked to see that, considering he seems to switch between casual and serious quickly "What did Riverclan do in the first place that made the other clans gang up on them in the first place?" That’s right, she finally asked it. Ask for the cliffs..it was already pretty straightforward. She was already careful at any time of day. And night. She wouldn’t stray too close to the edge. But she's afraid that’s just what any normal cat would do. Again, she doesn't have a deathwish (she wouldn't even try going too close to the edge. What if she trips?)
Their next stop was the Saltmeadow marsh. With a name like that, it’s probably marshlands. Muddy and probably gloomy since this is Shadowclan they were talking about. Hopefully it doesn’t smell too bad though. Hopefully it doesn’t smell like rats or rotting corpses. Do you expect her to believe not at least one cat has died there? Anyone can die anywhere at any given time. And..yeah, Salthmeadow Marsh looked like a marshland. That’s a marshland, alright. Her ears flattened slightly as she noticed the ground’s softer texture. But this..wasn't as shadowy as she though a Shadowclan would be. The border at least. The territory seemed like a nightmare to traverse through, and she was only looking at it from Riverclan’s side of the border. It smells..worse than Windclan, but no it's not rotting corpses. Pine. And maybe something else "So..Shadowclan. It seems like they enjoy marshlands" a lot. They seem to enjoy it a lot "…how do they act? I'm assuming they have a talent for stealth"

Re: Trial and Error! [Soaringpaw training]

The bengal tom shrugged at Soaringpaw's less than enthusiastic response, but he made no comment on it. "That's right." He replied, beginning his trek towards the marshlands. He paused in his tracks for a moment as his apprentice finally questioned why exactly RiverClan had been driven out. Brokenstream's whiskers twitched, though the emotion was undetectable. "Unfortunately, there's always a bad apple or two in a bunch." He finally said after a few moments of ticking silence passed. "Stormstar...made a mistake while she was deputy that almost cost her her deputyship, but she's done a lot for the Clan to make up for it. There are also events in the past that I've heard rumors about that other RiverClan cats have done to hurt the other Clans, but I'm no expert on what happened." The Lionheart admitted, glancing apologetically at his apprentice. "One of the elders might not be bad to ask...but I'd be careful not to trod on any tails while you do...metaphorically, of course." He flicked the tip of tail to indicate that part of the conversation was over as he continued to the ShadowClan border.
Yuck, ShadowClan scent. It was no more pleasant than WindClan, but definitely more...peaty. At Soaringpaw's observation, Brokenstream gave a purr of approval. "Yes, their name is quite fitting. They're known for being one with the shadows of the pine trees here." He added on to her own words. "They do have a reputation for being the most untrustworthy of the Clans, and I may not like them, but they're Clan cats just the same as any of us." He mewed, deciding to mark the border while they were there. "Still, I'd watch your back regardless." He sniffed at the scent line, checking to make sure it was where it should be. Seemed fine enough.
"For now, this will conclude our border tour. I'll be sure to take you to the ThunderClan border another time if you aren't put on a patrol to it by then." The tom said with a sniff. Dumb squirrel chasers. He was glad Soaringpaw had stumbled onto RiverClan territory and not into those fox-hearts. She was a promising young cat. "Any questions? If not, let's head back to camp and get some food. I'd be happy to teach you some hunting if you still have some energy later." He mewed with a friendly blink.

Soaringpaw noticed the slight twitch in Brokenstream's whiskers and the halting in steps. A cat's reaction could mean a lot of things about said cat. While she didn't know what it meant specifically, that isn't just 'Brokenstream dislikes the bad things in riverclan or it's past', she knew that it meant her question might've planted some sort of emotion in the older cat. There's always a bad apple in the bunch. That's probably why clan had Lionhearts, isn't it? Two or four cats can't handle thirty or so cats in the same clan and with a high number like that there was bound to be consequences. What did surprise her, though, was the thought that Stormstar had done something that nearly costed her the rank of deputy. Soaringpaw wanted to know what she did or how she kept her rank. Is Stormstar had made up for her actions, it meant most cats had already forgiven her. Soaringpaw wanted to know what action the leader did that's bad enough to have almost costed her her title and was part of the reason the clan got driven out, but isn't bad enough to make her irredeemable.
...Guess she'll have to ask another cat for what exactly did Riverclan do. Brokenstream was a Lionheart, and head Lionheart in that matter, but he wasn't an expert on what happened. "you aren't sure?" Shouldn't he have known if he was active around the clan? That was also a bit of a head tilter now wasn't it? ...now Soaringpaw didn't actually tilt her head and just acted as she would've every other time. Asking an elder didn't seem too pleasant but..."..I'll keep that in mind". The thought of asking Stormstar herself did come to her, she just wouldn't exactly be sure how it'd go or how to even begin. She still wasn't too keen on walking into the Leader's den, let alone by herself. No that..she was scared or anything. No, Stormstar seems like a good leader from what Soaringpaw's observed so surely a visit wouldn't go south too quickly. She still wanted to live there, dammit (she really didn't expect herself to think that anytime soon. Why? Was it because most of the cats there were friendly? Was it because she had no one outside the clan anyway? Was it just that the clan felt more welcoming than when she first woke up to the outskirts..?)Her mentor was the head Lionheart, and she had no problem talking to him other than the small fright the first time she came across Riverclan's border. That and she didn't have any bad ties with Stormstar, else she wouldn't have been allowed to join in the first place. So there shouldn't be a reason for her to hesitate on talking to the older she-cat...
Shadowclan..if their one with the pine trees then Soaringpaw would have to look out if she was put in a battle against them. If they're stealthy, it'd give them an advantage against an unknowing cat. She knew that in the middle of a battle field where attacks could launch itself from all sides, she was aware that there was no such thing as letting your guard down and getting away with it unscathed. "Windclan runs and Shadowclan lurks. what kind of technique does Thunderclan specialize in?" What kind of strategy would a Thunderclanner come up with during battle? It's good to know her enemies first and foremost. If Windclan focuses on agilty and speed, would that mean they'll be weak in closed spaces? If Shadowclan fought in open areas, they wouldn't be able to sneak up as easily. Funny how they're supposedly one of the most untrustable clans in the forst alongside..Windclan and..Thunderclan.. By that logic every clan is considered the most untrustable. Ironic how Shadowclan actually seemed a little more tolerable than Windclan's wrath or Thunderclan's border attack from a Riverclan's perspective. Then again, Riverclan is most likely considered as 'one of the most untrustable clans' from another clan's perspective. Possibly windclan. If the mention of Riverclan's questionable past was to add onto any distrust the clans had on each other. "Shadowclan doesn't seem like as big of a problem as the other two". The thought of which clan can't be trusted and which ones can is already a subjective thought, and most would be biased for their own clan. Once again, she always watches her back. No one needs to say anything for her to.
Soaringpaw watched Brokenstream mark the border.. So..that's how they do it..? Well she decided to do the same thing in a spot a few steps away before she walked back to her mentor. It's a quick action and wasn't exactly hard to do. If Windclan was heathers and hills, Shadowclan would be Pines and dirt. Doesn't role as well. Doesn't matter. "No further questions-" yet. No guarantees that a question Soaringpaw wanted an answer to wouldn't come to her's or her roleplayer's mind later lne. She already had one but Brokenstream told her to ask the elders for the answer "-I'll be ready for a hunting or swimming lesson later" She could actually ask to do that lesson right now if she really wanted it as soon as possible, but she supposes it was better to save up on energy first of all. And swimming is definitely something she needed to know
