Redleaf padded over to the apprentice den, the sun was still not out yet and the weather was pretty cool. She peaked her head into the apprentice den, her gaze looking around until she spotted Midnightpaw. "Midnightpaw." she called, trying not to wake the other apprentices. "We got training to do." she said, and peaked her head back out of the apprentice den. She sat there, wrapping a tail around her paws and waited.

The apprentice woke up at the sound of their mentor. They quickly sat up, stretching out their limbs before quietly walking outside. "I'm ready," they mewed to Redleaf. Their green eyes shine with excitement.

Redleaf purred at her apprentice, and nodded. With a flick of her tail, she beckoned him to follow as she lead him out of camp. "What are you looking forward to starting the most?" she asked. She was curious to see her apprentices answer.

Midnightpaw followed Redleaf closely. "I'm mostly excited about the stealth training and the battle training. I wanna defend and fight for Shadowclan as best as possible," the apprentice mewed, watching their mentor carefully. Their green eyes shined brightly.

Redleaf purred at her apprentices answer. "I bet you are...but what do you think is the most important or in my opinion important to learn first?" she asked turning her gaze on them as they walked further into the territory. They were getting close.

"The Warrior Code?" Midnightpaw asked, tilting their head to the side slightly.

"Yes, but there is one more." she meowed softly with a purr. Warrior code was one of them but so was hunting for the clan. Her gaze shifted back to them waiting to her their answer.

Midnightpaw went silent as they thought carefully."Hunting?" The apprentice asks, looking up at their mentor.

Redleaf nodded. "Good." she meowed, turning to face him. She sat down and wrapped a tail around her paws. "Hunting is more important than battle training. Do you know why?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
