Antpaw notices Creepingpaw glancing at him. His eyes meet the silver and black striped tom, noting his muscled and lean build. He looked strong. And, like him, he wasn't smiling like an idiot. If Antpaw's expression still looks like he ate a mouthful of mouse bile, this cat looked... hm... cool. He was coolly watching the other apprentices.

Antpaw makes a note of it in his mind as he waits. Not bad. For now, Creepingpaw was the least annoying of the apprentices. Antpaw sits next to him, keeping distance, waiting on Nightgaze for instructions.

Beachpaw -

Although they'd been daydreaming and weren't entirely sure what they were signing up for, Beachpaw padded over to join the lesson. Seemed like several of the other apprentices were gathering, and the fear of missing out on it created enough urgency to prompt their decision.

Alrighty, so a good number of apprentices had gathered so she could actually start the lesson- oh and Mothflame had decided to come and help out, nice! Though it would have been better to have a few more warriors on paw to teach, she wouldn't complain, at least someone had shown up! Nightgaze made sure to flash her a grin in return before jumping off her stone and leading the way out of camp, beckoning with her tail for the group to follow. "C'mon everyone!"

Nightgaze padded through the territory swiftly, casually glancing back now and then to make sure no one was missing. Stars, she'd be in for it if she lost and apprentice during an event, there was really no excuse for that. Hopefully these apprentices were well behaved for her sake and theirs. Ah, there it was! A small clearing bountiful with trees perfect for climbing practice! Not too tall with plenty of places to grab onto!

"This'll do!" The small hornet declared as she turned to face her group. Now time for the important part! "Aight everyone, so there's so little rules I need to set so everyone returns home with no broken bones!" Health and Safety were mandatory. "One! Don't try and climbs the trees without me or Mothflame supervising you, we don't need an accident! Surely these apprentices weren't dumb enough to try on their own anyways right? "Two! For no reason, unless for emergencies should you leave this clearing, and if you do need to please inform me or Mothflame so we can get you back to camp safely!" This was important but she didn't expect too much trouble with it.

Her face became more serious for the third rule "Lastly, don't go over you're limits. This is a lesson not a competition, if you can't do something yet, there's no shame in that and there's always time to practice. So don't over do it, alright?" This warning was more sincere than strict, no one should feel inferior just because they haven't quite reached a certain level of experience. She'd help them learn.

Shaking out her messy pelt as her rules were accepted, Nightgaze's expression returned to being light hearted. "Whew, all that talking tired me out! Whatchya say we start the lesson!" In an instance, she bounded over to a large oak tree and placed a single, unsheathed paw on it's bark. "Ok, so the thing about climbing is you need to find footholds and pull yourself up. Forelegs pull while hindlegs push you up. Trees with smooth bark are harder to climb so don't choose those ones. Anyways, watch this!"

Just like she described, the black molly gripped the tree and started scaling it, hoist herself up with ease, digging her claws into the bark for grip. In a matter of moments she'd reached the lowest branch and turned her vivid gaze back on the group. "I wanna see you do what I just did. Climb up here with me and back down again. It's a bit tricker going down but you just have to feel for places you can put your paws. Just do it backwards!" It was easier for her, a trained warrior, yet she hoped this wasn't too difficult for apprentices.

Settling on the only other warrior amongst them, Nightgaze instructed "Mothflame, please stand at the bottom of the tree to help them, 'kay? Don't want them getting too freaked out if they slip." She chuckled in amusement at imaging some dramatic apprentice screaming for help if they missed a foothold. The drop wasn't even that long. If one of them did fall, no damage would come to them, her clanmate would just be there for extra precautions plus to help them get back into the flow again. Sitting back on her haunches she blinked at them encouragingly. "Remember, one at a time!"
