So, the new rules were that he had to have another warrior with him if he wanted to leave to train his apprentice. He'd honor those rules, then. Sparrowpelt had summoned Snowpaw to come with him for hunting training and the first warrior he saw was Skunkridge. Begrudgingly or not, the warrior agreed to accompany he and the apprentice. Ravenpaw must've overheard him too, because that apprentice was coming along too, but Sparrowpelt didn't mind.

The large warrior started to lead the small group into the territory. They didn't go very far, just enough so they could find actual prey and it was away from the camp noises.

"Alright you two, we're 'bout to get some huntin' in. From here on out, we're gonna stay quiet 'n we're not goin' back to camp 'till ya both catch one piece of prey. Ready?" Sparrowpelt would confirm both apprentices were ready to go before he'd begin the lesson. Skunkridge was welcome to sit back or go hunting on their own if they wanted. Sparrowpelt trusted they could handle themself either way.

When she heard a warrior mention hunting, Ravenpaw had immediately decided to go with them.
She was taking advantage of the lockdown being lifted as soon as possible.

The sun-rusted she-cat followed as Sparrowpelt and Skunkridge led the way.
She'd interacted with Skunkridge before, and he seemed just as cheerful as he was the last time he helped train her.

They soon stopped, and Skunkridge had sat down to the side, at least for a little while.

As Sparrowpelt finished speaking, Ravenpaw gave a short and silent nod in response.

Snowpaw bounded forward excitedly at her mentor's call. Hunting!! Awesome!! She glanced curiously at the apprentice who had came, too. Then her eyes landed on Skunkridge. "Oh hi, Skunkridge! I remember you!! We helped repair the medicine den!! Remember?" She glanced back at the dark furred apprentice. "Is this your apprentice? Cool! I didn't know you had one! What's your name?" she asked the other apprentice, tipping her head. Though Sparrowpelt had already started walking away, so she talked and walked, until they reached their destination. She quickly stopped talking when her mentor begun to explain, and she nodded vigorously, eyes gleaming in excitement. So cool! She didn't notice Ravenpaw's silence, and opened her jaws to say something else, until she remembered what her mentor had just said, and shut them quickly, looking sheepish.

"Right then, let's begin," Sparrowpelt waved his tail then dropped into a hunting crouch, grinning as he watched their expressions. "First and foremost, I need ta see yer best crouches! When you're crouching, ya wanta keep yer legs spread apart enough to balance yourself. Keep your stomach low to the ground, but not low enough that your belly fur touches or drags, that'd give ya away. Same with your tail; low to the ground, straight behind ya, but not touchin' the ground. You also don't wanna wave it around. Give it a try," Sparrowpelt instructed, keeping in the crouch so they could mimic it if they wanted to.

Skunkridge smiled at Snowpaw "Yes I remember." She said cheerfully, though quietly as to not scare off any prey that could be nearby "Oh, Ravenpaw isn't mine. She is friends with mine, though. My apprentice is Stormpaw."
The tuxedo then went back to being quiet and observing.

The sun-rusted apprentice glanced at Snowpaw.
She sure was hyperactive.
Not like Ravenpaw wasn't use to hyperactive cats at this point.
"Ravenpaw." She replies quietly when Snowpaw had asked her name.

Now, the hunting crouch.
Well.
She's aware of how to do that, at least.

Ravenpaw moves into the hunting crouch, doing it how she was shown my Horsetrot before.

Snowpaw crouched down, keeping her tail stiff. She hoped she wasn't doing it wrong, but she was sure her mentor would correct her if she was doing it wrong. Hunting prey was one of the most important things, after all! Everybody needed to eat. So she poured her utmost concentration, which was really hard, especially because there were so many sounds and scents and things to do in the forest. She was buzzing to run around and catch some butterflies. Her tail tip twitched in excitement. But later! Because now she was training! She quickly stilled herself, realizing her mistake. Oops. But that was okay, because everything was amazing!! And this was only her second time. She was excited at the prospect of catching more prey, remembering her pride in catching that mouse.

Sparrowpelt would remain in his crouch, watching as the apprentices got into crouches. "Great!" he praised each, not feeling the need to correct either. The large tabby would move onto the next step -- literally. "When ya want to hunt yer prey, you needa be extra sneaky. So, ya need ta step lightly and carefully. Be careful of where you're steppin'! Don't needa step on something and scare yer prey, y'know!?"

The warrior would demonstrate, stepping lightly with his large paws and creeping slowly through the undergrowth around them. He was silent, low to the ground, and careful. "Try with me."

Okay, so moving forward silently and step lightly.
Shouldn't be too difficult.

Ravenpaw copied Sparrowpelt, and managed to succeed, watching her steps carefully.
This is good, it's progress.

She listens for further instructions.

Snowpaw tried to copy Sparrowpelt, taking an exaggerated slow step. She was practically buzzing in excitement, so she had to over exaggerate the carefulness so she wouldn't dart forward accidentally. That would be bad! Maybe with more practice she wouldn't be so slow, but that's how it was right now. She wasn't really thinking much right now, except for how she's concentrating. She just feels really happy.

Sparrowpelt would grin as the apprentices picked up the motion fairly quickly. "Good, good! Good job, yer both doin' wonderful. Gonna be the best hunters!" the large warrior praised. "Right, now decide which way the wind is blowin'. Just feel it through yer whiskers or in your pelt. When you decide, face downwind of it," Sparrowpelt instructed, giving them both a moment to figure it out.

Once they had, Sparrowpelt would face the correct direction and gesture for the duo to mimic him. "Now that we're downwind, scent the air. Smell any prey? The wind will carry their scent right to ya!" Sparrowpelt spoke, parting his lips and letting the wind bring the scents to him. Nearby was some mouse scent, another direction was squirrel and birds. "Tell me where you wanna go."
