DuskKit stalked out of the nursery and off towards the fresh kill pile, he was pretty hungry after his nap- he just didn't know what to eat. I mean, of course some type of meat but like what kind. He didn't really want a rabbit... what about a thrush? That sounded good.
As he padded up to the pile he looked for his favorite food, only to find it wasn't there at the moment, sighing, he settled for a bird.
Wolfcry pressed against her mate as he came up to her. She smiled. "How are you?" she asked before something caught her one eye, she turned in the direction of what she saw and saw a tiny little tom...a kitten. "Look." she whispered to him.
* He purred and sat down. *
" I'm doing great. I love it here. "
* He looked over and spotted the kitten. *
" Aw, he's a cute one huh? Can't wait to have some ourselves. "

Teeth sinking into the dead bird, he picked it up and padded a few feet away from where the kill pile was to settle and eat.
Wolfcry purred at her mate and nodded. "I would love that" Her one eye never leaving the kit. "Maybe we should go help him." she whispered with another purr. Standing up, she limped over to the small kit. "Hi little one." she meowed as she finally reached the tiny kits side.
* He followed after her and used his side to help her from limping too much. He sat down with her and purred. He kept quiet for a bit while waiting for the kit. *

Little Seedling, who was just a little over two moons old, poked her head out of the nursery. Far from the bravest of her litter, she rarely strayed far from the nursery–unless accompanied by any of her siblings or to bumble after her father to bunt into one of his legs. Today was not one of those rare occasions, no, she dare not venture out into the depths of Windclan's camp, no. Far too careful to partake in such a treacherous task.
Bright blue eyes squinted against the sunlight, something she had still yet to get accustomed to quite yet. Gazing about camp, observing those as they went about their day, she searched for her poppa–but he was nowhere to be found! Darn it, that was no good, no good at all! Instead, her eyes landed on a semi-familiar individual. So, with those stubby little legs guiding her, she toddled on out of the nursery and headed on over to visit Dapplebreeze.
“Grandmomma!” She squeaked out once close enough, shuffling as close as possible before she plopped herself down onto the ground beside her. Not as close as she'd snuggle up to her dearest poppa, but still quite close. “Hello, hi. I've come to… visit! How are you? How are you today?”
Dapplebreeze would not consider herself blessed. She was proud. Believed herself to be a proper warrior of WindClan. Gave her all for the cats that composed her clan. But gifted? Superior in some way that did not come from sheer force of will and hard work? Never.
Well... that might be a lie. There was a time when she had been younger when she had seen herself as above those who could not claim to be pure WindClanners. She wished to blame her mother for her uptight and erroneous views on what truly made a clan cat, but really, it had been her. She had chosen to cling to these blind, pathetic ideals that had no real substance to back them up for no other reason than it giving her purpose. A view of the world in which she was better by right of birth alone. And she had suffered for it.
There was one thing in which she and her parents differentiated themselves in, she supposed. While she carried the name as the proud matriarch of the Breeze family, she had learned. She had not clung to foolish ideals of purity of lines or whatever other nonsense her mother had claimed. And her kittens had been better for it. At least... until she had lost them. Over and over and over again. The former queen hadn't a clue how she wasn't hollowed out by now. The loss sometimes feeling as if it was too much to bear. The path ahead feeling lonely and empty until she could meet with her little ones in StarClan again.
But then she heard it. The small, exited squeak of one of the very reasons why the world still made sense to her. One of the very little ones that connected her to her own long gone kittens. Dark blue hues turning towards the speckled form that came bounding to her, Dapplebreeze offered an instant, loving smile to her granddaughter, lowering herself to nuzzle Snowybreeze's little one. She still didn't like it. How her grandson's less than adequate mate had somehow managed to birth kits that had never been meant to be born in the first place. She had never approved of Berryfrost, seeing her as far too soft, weak, and lacking in loyalty for her taste. One of the WindClan pure cats she would have thought highly at a younger point in her life, but seeing her as unfitting for her already far too quiet grandson... but she never intervened. It wasn't her place to tell the tom who he could or not could be with. She had done that once before. Never again.
Besides, much as she disliked the StarClan warrior, she could never deny one thing. Her loyalty to the gentle giant was incomparable, gifting him kits that were undeniably theirs from the stars themselves. And she could never hate them. Her darling great grandkits. The future of WindClan... a gift from the stars themselves. And with sweet, thoughtful Seedkit coming over, overcoming her shyness to visit her... why, how could she see them as anything but the very lovely treasures that their father proclaimed them to be?
"How have I been? Why, simply splendid, by darling little one. There is nothing more marvelous than having a sapling as lovely as you come by for a greeting. Tell me, how goes the nursery, my dear? Firestorm being able to keep up with you little ones?" the former queen purred amicably as she settled down into a feline loaf, contentedly staring at her grandkit.
