Something wasn't right. The warriors den was practically half empty. Lavendersong was gone already, but where was Shockhoney? After their reunion the previous day, he had promised that he wouldn't leave her side. So what if something happened to her? Standing frozen in front of the warriors den, Creepingpaw felt his white chest tighten at the sight of Shockhoney's spot in the den looking completely empty. With claws digging deep into the earth below and his black ears flattening against his skull, the silver and black adorned tom parted his jaws slightly in an attempt to catch his breath, but it felt as though he'd been jabbed in the stomach and had no room for air. The panic was setting in and wrapping it's deceitful tendrils around Creepingpaw's body, it was the first time in awhile that he'd felt this familiar pang of helplessness. But it was different this time. He couldn't help but feel he had failed his only friend.

Refusing to believe what was right in front of him, Creepingpaw shut his wide and vibrant green eyes tightly before shaking his head vigorously to snap back to reality. Now wasn't the time to lose it. Gritting his teeth, Creepingpaw paused briefly at the sound of Willowpaw's announcement. Sick cats needing bedding? Then surely Willowpaw might know what happened to Shockhoney right? The 11 moon old tom whipped around sharply and raced quickly towards the congregating group of cats. Creepingpaw hissed with frustration as he wove through the cluster of his clanmates until he finally reached Willowpaw. With a wild streak of desperation flashing in his eyes, the agitated egyptian mau frantically approached Willowpaw, his voice tense and stern, "Willowpaw, where did the sick cats go? What happened to Shockhoney?" Creepingpaw questioned, his striped and spotted fur bristled with hysteria.

"I'm pretty sure they moved the sick cats to Sunkissed creek." Willowpaw told Creepingpaw. "Shockhoney got sick and had to go there." Willowpaw felt bad for him. She knew Creepingpaw and Shockhoney were close. @twizzypaw

Creepingpaw could barely make out all of the words that Willowpaw had said and did his best to read her lips as she responded. His brain was buzzing like a hive of angry bees, with worrying thoughts that fired off non stop. Sun-kissed creek? Without the protection of the camp? For how long? How would they know if they were okay? Who was there to protect them? Is it always this exhausting to care about someone?!
He didn't like that answer, not one bit. Creepingpaw's bright emerald gaze fell for mere moments as his eyes darted slightly from following every thought and idea he had from straight mutiny to attempting to get himself sick. He seemed to be in the bargaining stage of grief as he frantically sifted through ideas on how he could get to Shockhoney. Finally, it hit him. Creepingpaw's head shot back up to meet Willowpaw's sympathetic stare, "T-THE BEDS! Who's taking them?!" The silver and black striped and spotted tom took a few paw steps closer to Willowpaw, a mere whiskers length away and his expression growing more desperate and distraught, "I'll take the beds, I don't care, I'll make a hundred beds if I have to, just let me take them. Please." Creepingpaw pleaded, leaving little to no room to even breathe as he did his best to hide the shakiness in his voice with a forced terse and demanding tone. He figured if he would be allowed to take the beds, then maybe it would give him a chance to see Shockhoney and make sure she was okay.
