"Dad!" Antpaw's grouchy face relaxes as he finally finds Hawkthorn in the clearing. It was Starclan's luck that he wasn't outside.

"Mom's finished birthing, but there's complications." Antpaw meows. He wasn't sure exactly how to break it to his father that two of the kits were now cold. Dead. It just didn't seem like something you'll say in full view of the clan.

"You have to come to the nursery. Quickly."

It was a good day to start a conversation. Well, a good day for the cats that were not sick. The scarred she-cat padded across the clearing, spotting the brown-furred Elder sitting. Putting on a warm and friendly smile Mothflame padded over, slowing when she got closer as to not startle the old chap.

"Hello, Lionwish." She greeted with a slight nod, a purr tinging her voice.
