Wormkit narrowed his eyes as he grabbed various bits of prey from the pile. He was so SO SO tired of doing all of this stuff while also being demoted back to a kit. He was a good three to 5 moons older than more than half of the kits in the den and also he was starting to not fit in his nest or the den anymore.

It sighed heavily through the prey, distributing it to the queens and the kits within the nursery. The last kit was a tom named Spiderkit, it dropped a frog in front of him. It was the last piece of prey it was carrying, it hoped that he'd like it, Wormkit itself liked frogs- at least to some extent, they were kind of good... sort of... not really but hey! it was food! hopefully, this kid would also see it that way.

Spiderkit looked up. "Thanks." He mumbled. This kit, it looked too big. Spdierkit didn't know about the demotion. "Hey. You're quite big for a kit?" Spiderkit knew some kit's just grew faster than others, but his one was bigger than any kits. He grabbed the frog and started eating it. He had never had one, but this was good! @seeingstars

The older tom quirked a brow, unsure entirely of how to respond, quickly he began to make up a story "Can you keep a secret?" His gaze darted around before he continued "I'm an apprentice who's undercover as a kit to find out who's been hiding thorns in nests" He said in a hushed tone.

Spiderkits eyes widened. "Really? That's so cool!" Spiderkit looked at him. "Did DawnStar tell you to do this?" He had to admit, he was a bit jealous. He wanted to go on a super secret mission. @seeingstars

wow, this kid would believe anything you told him. He let out a bitter laugh, yeah, it was Dawnstar's fault he was once more confined to the nursery. He let out a quiet breath before responding "yeah- but you have to not tell anyone about it. Dawnstar will shred my pelt if I mess this up" His gaze shifted from the kit to the den's entrance, back to the kit to emphasize the need for secrecy "I might even let you help- if you PROMISE not to tell" He said, flashing a charming smile, it's tail waving behind it calmly.

Wormkit suddenly realized he hadn't introduced himself "You can call me Wormpaw by the way" He said straightening up, and looking down at the kit.

"OH alright! My mouth is completely shut." Spiderkit closed his mouth super hard. "I would love to help! What can I do?" The kit was amazed by the demoted apprentice. Lucky. They got picked by the leader to do a special mission. "I'll help in anyway possible!" Spiderkit rambled on. He was super excited. A huge grin broke from his face. @seeingstars
