Oh, what a day! Another day with no training, and Eveningpaw was getting impatient. How would they ever become a promising warrior without proper training? They wouldn't, that's the answer! Might as well resort to going around asking warriors that aren't their mentor to help with the training!

This was not a lesson that would register with Wormkit, in fact, he still hadn't learned his lesson about picking on cats twice his size. He flicked his tattered ear, one of the trophies of his stupidity.
The smoky black tom raised a brow "Who left a whole hive of bees in your nest this morning?" He asked his younger denmate, who was now fairly secured under his weight, though the kit could escape if he tried to. The tom's tail twitched behind him as his different-colored gaze locked on the kit. Even if he did escape, the older tom would take chase. This was almost a game to him at this point.

Well, this was no good. No good at all! Hm. He guesses that's what he gets for attacking a larger cat. Or perhaps he'd attacked the wrong area? Should he go for the troat next? His flank? Paws?
Giving up completely on attempting to free himself from the weight of the larger apprentice kit, Spiritkit resorted to letting out frustrated growls. He was very much frustrated, oh yes. How dare he?! Frustrated because Wormkit had beat him. Beat HIM! Frustrated at himself for not being able to escape from this cat. Why couldn't things always go the way he'd planned?!

Snowdance rolled his shoulders as he sat in the camp clearing, bored out of his mind. His blue eyes were narrowed down to slits, as It was quite obvious that he was actually thinking for once in his life.
[ Snowdance is open for interactions! ]

The she-cat emerged from the warriors' den, feeling refreshed after a long nap. Spotting her apprentice, Skyshade beckoned Eveningpaw over to her with a flick of her tail tip. ''Ready for training?''

Oh, it's about time! With an ecstatic buzz, Eveningpaw bounded over, quivering with excitement.
"Yes, yes! I'm ready! Where are we going to do today?" Lowering their voice to a whisper, they added jokingly. "I'd reeeeeaaaally like to start battle training. There's a couple cats I'd like to shred with my own claws."

A dark cat could be seen through her peripherals. She stole a glance at the cat for a moment of recognition and then nodded her head.
"I'm fine,"
Though her voice was meak, she sounded insistant. A funny little thing she did when she was nervous. She did recognize this cat; Rookfire. It's not as if she was intimidated--and though silly, she would not even admit it if she was. Her eyes hung low, lakes of uncertainty held by a single string. Hickorykit took one, steady paw and urged herself up so that she was eye to eye with this cat. She was no longer in a laying position, but now her posture was tall, as her father had told her "etiquette before words."Now that she thought about it that saying was kind of stupid because of who he....
"I'll go in soon, I promise. I just need a few more moments."
Again, her voice never reached above a whisper. As if she was trying to remain polite to the other cats who may be attempting to rest. Hickorykit's fur was not as nearly as prickly as before. Though a question still lingered, begging her to look and answer it. Did she look presentable? Clean, like she hadn't just tumbled around in dirt? Guilt overwhelmed her as she fascinated herself with examining her pelt. She almost forgot the cat in front of her, but how could she? She noticed a lot of things. Subtle changes in a cats mood, differences in body language. She knew a lot more about others than she let on. Nevertheless, tons of things still puzzled her. How did friendships work if one party didn't reciprocate? Would it no longer be a friendship? She tucked that those questions to the back of her mind.
rookfire frowned at the kits hesitance and odd change of demeanor. "i cant really leave you out here like this..do you not want to go inside?" he tried, already filing through possible options in his mind. perhaps a simple dislike of a certain queen, how trapped some cats felt in certain types of dens, maybe some other kit was being a pain? there wasnt really much to be done about most of these things apart from figuring out what it was and taking it to nightshiver to discuss possible workarounds and adjustments. "its getting cold and nightshiver cant sleep without all the kits in the nursery, she just got hurt and i bet shes tired, do you think you should make her healing a bit easier?" he suggested, attempting to play at the kits sympathy rather than just enforcing rules they may not understand. concern spiked at the back of his mind, memories of his own hesitance and his sisters discomfort around mother he couldnt understand at the time. there was no reason to suspect the worst..nightshiver was a good cat and she was watching over the kits, there was nothing like mother and father and the cats that came and went went sissy and him were kits.. shadowclan was safe.

She felt as if a million pairs of eyes were on her. Dusky- no. Duskpaw. Where had she gotten all these ridiculous nicknames?? 'Dusky,' 'Aunty Larky,' 'Big-Great-Grandma-Dawny'... they were all so damn stupid...
Pawsteps momentarily drew her attention away from her tangle of thoughts, of memories. Memories so bitter she would rather forget them all together than even think about them at all. Someone- Rookfire, the... the new Medicine Cat.. right? The scent the.. the voice lined up.
"Hey Hey- it's okay, it's okay"
"It won't be okay! It's NEVER okay! Don't spew lies to me! Not since..." choked sobs escaped her maw before she finished her sentence. Bitter and dark thoughts swirled around her mind.
Now- she couldn't see. She was blind, of course. But that just meant she could hear slightly better than others. At least, that's what she was told. So surprise surprise. She could hear the other's breathing. She knew they were feigned. But each one sounded so much like Cougarbite's breathing when he had slept... The cold Leaf-Fall nights, snuggling up to his warm, milky scent... and that sent her spiraling further.
"I.. had everything! A father, siblings.. Now all I am is a broken mess. Everyone. Cougarbite... ALL of my siblings... now all I have is Dawny-" She paused for a moment, flinching at her own words. "Dawnstar." Duskpaw corrected herself.
duskpaws reaction differing from what he knew from himself did little to throw him off course at first, he was even open to overlook the accusation of lying to her for the sake of calming her down. "if you calm down we can think about a solution" the medicine cat offered, continuing to offer the repetitive sound of calm breathing. besides sobbing and heavy rapid breathing from duskpaw, rookfire couldnt really guess much about her situation at all. he had no idea why she was even scream-crying in the first place and had approached her primarily in order to get her to stop making a scene and maybe move her feelings to the privacy of the medicine den or out of camp for a chat.
patience slowly but surely dwindling, his demeanor changed rapidly from trying to calm her with calm lilting words to more harsh tones and body language, finally reaching back to address the 'dont spew lies to me'. it wasnt necesarrily because he was mad or he had run out of patience, it was because he was getting upset with her unresponsive sympathy seeking behaviour, if she could scream at him she could very much talk to him like the adult she was supposed to be. "alright listen up, do not speak to me like that, youre far too old to act like a kit throwing a fit. its alright to be hurt by stuff, but it wont get better if youre just wailing about how unfair everythin' is, get off your ass and work for the change ya want ta' see happen." he rattled off, bits of venom snaking into his otherwise relatively calm yet sharp edged words. dramatically rolling his eyes at her mention of 'only having dawny left'. "i doubt dawnstar would think very highly of you screamin' at one of her medicine cats. get a grip and maybe you'll earn someone elses affection." he huffed, more or less done with this conversation, especially now that someone else had approached them. he stepped a tail length to the side, giving the other cat a sharp glance but keeping quiet otherwise.
"Well..." Wisppaw nodded his head to the side. "Who do you want to be?" He said with a suave smile. Typically Wisppaw wasn't big for all this metaphorically or philosophical nonsense but for some reason that question made it just come out of him. It also made him think about his own self for a moment. Then the fellow wisp asked a lead up question. "Well I can't said I quiet remember to be honest. Probably just remember my smell from being in the same places since well.. I don't think I have to explain that to you." Wisppaw said while hoping that would be true. He seen Wispypaw here or there but this was probably the first time the two had a full conversation. A part of him wondered how many cats seen him just as another nameless face in the crowd as he saw many cats in his clan. There was just so many names and faces to remember that he just didn't try. Who did he know. Shadowpaw, Darkfall, Dawnstar and Mossy. Maybe he should remember the name of the deputy at some point too..
Wispypaw Wash him deep where the tides are turning + she/her[they/them to those she has told] + Heightened Perception [hearing, active]
Were they dreaming? They seemed to have run into a cat that could stand their way of speaking. Yeah, their words usually had a bit of a bite to it but that was how they ran things around themselves. If said cat didn't like how Wispypaw spoke then they could go eat the mud that's sitting in part of their territory. A flick of a tufted ear was their way of showing they heard what the other said and not outright ignoring them, they may be rude but they weren't that kind of rude. "Hmm, I would want to be a full-grown adult with my warrior name by now but that requires me to finish my training" they answered simply. They were already halfway through their training that they could taste it, soon they would be standing beside their mother and older sibling.
The dark feline almost sent a blind glare at the other for that almost-spoken words. They had thought that they would have to rip this cat a new one if they verbally pointed out their annoying handicap. It was already bad enough that they got reminded of it every waking day, they didn't need the reminder in any verbal form. " Ah, one of the numbskulls that managed to get lost during the evacuation" they flicked their feathery tail as they regarded the other apprentice. To this day they still find it quite ridiculous for anyone to get lost and left behind while a whole mass of cats was heading away in one direction. Of course, unless they were panicking like some sort of headless prey which in their eyes made it even worse. "I take it that you are finally an apprentice and not an overgrown kit?" sue them for not bothering to remember their name.
