Silentpaw turned to a random warrior who had just randomly walked up to him, all cheery and ready to go. He only stared, an emotionless and blank look on his face. She was a strange one. Probably as strange as that one kit he found in the Nursery, all in the corner. Except he supposed this cat wouldn't be in corners. More like the center.
He turned away, refusing any kind of social interaction. If she wanted him to say something, she would have to get it out of him.

the realization sent shudders through her. Willowpaw needed to get her self together!! Even if she was missing a single puzzle piece (who the heck crammed confidence, social skills, braveness, efficiency, and usefulness into a single piece?) she should still be able to make a perceivable image!!!

So with that in mind, it was practical torture, lying around in the apprentice's den. She just needed a small push to get her on track again, to help her stop being a sagging mound of fur in the apprentices den. And when she heard one of the enforcers - Briarsplash, if she remembered correctly - announcing an event, she leaped at her chance. At last, Willowpaw was going to be useful! Shocking!

The tortoiseshell nearly instantly trotted up to where she was fully sure she was meant to be to join the event. Everything seemed possible, suddenly. She could achieve her dreams, become one of the most productive cats in the clan. Find that missing puzzle piece, and if it didn't fit, she could shove it into place, forming a dazzling image of a hedgehog in flight, smiling at the waterfall leading out to the wide, open Atlantic with pink dolphins, beckoning the dappled cat on the shore to join them.

So with her head held high, she said "okimreshyyeahokwecadodis!!".

Hunting! That's when the pale calico kitten ears perked up. That voice...it sounded so familiar. Could it be? He raced towards the clearing where the other cats had gathered to hear the news. It must be! His pale blue eyes lit up with excitement when he saw the gray tortie. It was Briarsplash, the Enforcer that brought him out on a hunt a while ago! Last time, he promised he'd practice on his moves and practice, he did! Except not on real prey, perhaps this time, he'd be able to catch something... on his own?
