Antpaw looks down. His glare goes from the cats, to Lightkit. He ignores the tail, instead meowing scornfully, "Are you going to take part too? You can barely walk. Shush, and watch the other kits be fools."
Her own sisters compliance with her winning was…odd. How were they so different yes so related? Whatever—she wouldn’t argue if she was the winner. Then this…stranger approached, causing a change in her attitude. She went from playful banter with her sister to…on edge. Her gaze narrowed at the kit. “I won’t jeopardize myself! I can’t share my plans!” her…non-existent plans are ever so confidential.

The hurried response from Fireflykit caused him to release a faint, amused snort. She's taking this very seriously, it seems.
The tom-kit shrugged. "No need to tie your whiskers in a knot. I was just curious. Nobody's gotta tell me anything. I'm sure whatever it is you're gonna do will be cool. I'm still thinking 'bout my act so I can't judge."

Sometimes she's talkative with new cats, sometimes she's quiet.
Depends on the day.
She's at a middle point today.

Jaykit's attention then turned to the fiery she-kit's sister. She seemed to be much more mellow than her sister. They complemented each other. How cool.
"Funny would be great. I could use a good laugh today, and I'm sure it'd be good for everyone else 'cause of the sickness an' stuff."
He finally plopped down into a comfortable position.
"You'll both do great, I'm sure."

"Jay, Jay, look what I found!" Dovekit had been looking for her brother everywhere, her poor paws all tuckered out from a couple of laps across camp. She was dragging along a twig with a single beech leaf attached. As the seasons had cooled, the trees were starting to change as well. She continued yelling from several fox-lengths away, "This leaf is completely orange!" [@/Hana]
In her mission to share her amazing discovery, she hadn't noticed that Jaykit's grey ears weren't the only pair sticking up in the growing crowd. Before she got any closer, she promptly dropped her twig as if it was nothing more than leftover mousetail and bounded over. "What are we doing? Whatever it is, I wanna join!"
As he began to doze off, the striped kit stiffened as he heard his sister's call. He sat up and turned to look over his shoulder. Well, whaddya know, the leaf was indeed all orange.
"It's a pretty leaf, Doves! Gonna keep it?" Knowing his sister, her interest in it wouldn't last long.
As he had predicted, the she-kit had dropped the leaf in her haste to join the group. He chortled. Ah well, he might get that leaf for himself if he remembers later.
When Dovekit approached, he responded to her question, "Raccoontail's decided to host a talent show for all of us kits. Said that the prize will be a cool hawk feather; it's pretty big and neat. Others will help judge, I think. You're more than welcome to join, sis." He gave her a sheepish grin. "I don't really have an act yet. Still thinking."
At Raccontail's voice, the kit swerved his head to give the warrior his attention. It's starting, and a kit named Sagekit was first? Phew! He still needed more time to think. He mentally sent a good luck Sagekit's way.
Spiderkit tumbled over, crouching behind Lightkit. "M-Maybe I'll try something too?" She mewed. She wasn't sure if she was trying to ask permission or make a statement, or who would even care that she was speaking. Of course, she wasn't sure what she would even do if she did decide to try something.
