┌─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───┐
large and fluffy bluish gray tom with dark gray stripes and ear tufts. has a scar across his face and chest. ✩ Miresong ✩
He/him | Trans | Elder | 87 moons | RC
❝ The wise storyteller ❞
└─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───┘
The older cat padded forward. He wouldn't let his age stop him from going and getting to know some of his Clanmates and having a good time. He'd been stuck in the Elder's den recently, too, and wanted to see how the youngin's were doing.
Miresong dipped his head as he walked by some of his Clanmates, letting out a little "Hello!" to some of them.
"Would anyone like to hear some stories?" Miresong called out. He was hoping to tell someone the stories from several moons ago or perchance the fables of his times.
Gullstrike glanced up at the call of his name; he'd been nose down, looking for feathers and rocks. "Oh, hey, Goldenwing!" The tom meowed in greeting as the other cat came over.
He glanced back at the small pile of vaguely (very vaguely) fish-shaped rocks he'd gather a few steps away as Goldenwing spoke. Hunting would be fun, since maybe he could get some little shells for his nest, or fish scales that he could scatter around the ground if they got a big one. Gullstrike only considered for a moment before nodding along. Plus, the clan would be fed. A win-win, if you asked him.
"Sure, I'll come along. Wanna help look for shells while we're out?" He added. "The clan will appreciate a few fish, but it's good to keep the mind happy too -- you into seashells or feathers?"

"Oh, I'd love to help. Recently I started a collection of my own; I'm trying to find a feather for each bird that can be found in our territory."
Goldenwing crouched to dip her nose lightly into the chilly water, relishing in the clay-like mud that sunk underneath her claws.
"I'm very grateful that we've found this new camp. I mean, I know that the move has added to- well, just [I]everything[I] that has been going on in Riverclan. But it feels good to be back in our territory again."

Gullstrike was impressed -- he hadn't known another cat to actually collect feathers, rather than just using them for decor. The tom watched her step into the stream, then followed suit, dipping his paws and watching the water ripple out. It was good to be back, after all this time.
"Yeah, and it's good to have some good news on the horizon, with Dusklion and Berrypaw coming back from the Starcave." He watched a few minnows dart around the shallows.
"Did you want to stay and hunt here or go somewhere else? If you don't have a gull feather yet, we can go to Lionsbeach." He glanced over at her. "I've got one -- soon as I knew which one was a gull. Had to have one for my namesake," he purred.

Beaverpaw seemed a little quiet, or just tired like he was? He wasn't super sure. Either way, he was happy to have a new friend, especially after such a long day, "Nice to meet you too!" he smiled. They were meant to be helping with the camp, weren't they? They gazed around, looking for something to do. "Uhhhh I don't really know how to build a camp, not gonna lie."
Brokenstream gave a friendly mrrow as Floodsight appeared, eyes warm. ”Hey, Floodsight- the more the merrier.” He replied, already padding down towards the shallow stream Vixenflame had suggested. ”Only one way to find out.” The tom meowed, splashing his paws in the water to see if he could disturb anything to the surface.
”We’re in luck!” He called over his shoulder, hooking out a small broken shell. ”It’s not perfect, but I like it.” He said thoughtfully, placing it in the beginnings of a small pile next to him. ”And I’m sure Dusklion will like that.” Brokenstream said to Vixenflame.

"Oh yes, a gift for her arrival would be nice. Good thinking, Vixenflame." The silver warrior nodded in acknowledging. She'd hardly been the type to give out gifts, but the russet colour warrior did make a fair point. An assortment of shells would be a lovely gift to give.
"Hi!" Oh stars, wasn't she glad to see a familiar face. His friendly disposition made it easy for Floodsight give Brokenstream a gentle smile in greeting. She trotted down with the others, swiftly towards the shallow stream. Cold water lapped against her paws as she took a small step in. It was a calm and bright feeling, slightly refreshing with the strong afternoon sun that warmed her pelt.
There in the shallows, Floodsight had spotted a dark gray shell with iridescent tint to it. It was pretty in a way, with grooves that made interesting pattern as it flow throughout the shell. It sort of made her think of the deput- soon to be leader's fur pattern and brought a mild smile to her face.
She picked it up and dropped it by the others, with a cheery laugh. "Guys look~ this one looks a lot like Dusklion."
( Sorry for the late response!! It's harder for me to keep up during the week with work ^^" )

Kneading her own paws in the water, Vixenflame purred at Brokenstream's discovery. "That do be a good one." She pawed at the small broken shell with interest, intrigued by it's odd shape.
When Floodsight claimed to find a shell that looked like Dusklion, Vixenflame turned around with haste. Her green eye studied the grey shell, noticing it's simular pattern to their future leader's pelt. "Well, I'll be!" A laugh broke out from her maw, "I can see it! She'd love that one!" She couldn't help but wonder how Dusklion would react to these gifts. She hoped it would bring her some sort of joy, at least. RiverClan's all about decorating their home, but it's been so long since they've had a home that she wondered if desire for the tradition had been lost.
Pushing her thoughts aside, Vixenflame blinked at small piles next to her. "Well shoot, I hope y'all left some good ones in there for me to find!" She teased, aiming to playfully bump shoulders with Brokenstream and Floodsight. Nevertheless, Vixenflame eagerly turned her attention back to the water, paws stirring up the sand once more. The agitated sand swirled beautifully in the water, revealing a small, odd-shaped stone peaking out of the sand. Curious, she pawed it out and placed it beside herself—the start of her own pile. "Oh! It looks like a star!" She pointed at it with her tail, showing off the shiny star-shaped pebble.

"Lionsbeach is a good idea," Goldenwing remarked. "It'll have much better fishing prospects than this measly river, too. I mean, unless you enjoy snacking on tadpoles and bugs," she meowed sarcastically.
She followed the black-and-white warrior along the creekside towards Lionsbeach.

( @twizzypaw - this could be a good time for Goldenwing and Foxleap to meet if you're available)
(I am so sorry for this late reply!! I've been MIA cuz life and I've had a lot of catching up to do on here! Let me know if you're no longer interested, totally understand if that's the case!)
Having just scarfed down some fish after exploring the new burial site with Owltalon, the russet colored tom laid sprawled out in a patch of sun, secluded from the rest of his clanmates as he closed his eyes and did his best to tune out any surrounding chatter. After the traumatic string of events that Riverclan had endured, the many losses and betrayals, he needed some time to himself. Or at least that's what he thought... he often had time to himself, being a roving male with no family ties to Riverclan. And the many flings he'd had were brief and fleeting.
Foxleap's brown tipped ears suddenly perked at the sound of an unfamiliar voice calling out for a fishing invitation. Raising his broad head, the fox patterned Abyssinian slow blinked his rich honey colored eyes until it focused on the white and golden dappled she cat in the distance. Sure, he had just wolfed down a fish but he hadn't caught that himself. Maybe a swim would be nice... especially if it involved helping catch fish for a beautiful she cat. Feeling his low energy seem to bubble into curiosity, Foxleap gingerly raised himself up on all fours before shaking off any lingering debris from his thick coat and padding over to the she cat in the distance.
"I'd like to join you, if you don't mind~" he purred suavely, tilting his head and smiling charmingly, "I'm Foxleap, and you are?"

"Of course," the she-cat responded politely. "I'm Goldenwing. The creek closest to camp is pretty measly," she spoke, gesturing her head towards the edge of camp where the water flowed. "But if we follow it upriver it should widen into a larger river. There might be some decently sized fish there."
Goldenwing observed the fellow warrior, noting that he looked approximately her age.
(No worries about the reply, I totally understand )
