A small, blueish-gray tabby kit stuck out his head the moment the apprentice had announced a prize. His eyes trailed to the feather held out by the older cat. It wasn't as shiny of a thing as he usually liked, but he had to admit that it would be a great new addition to his collection.
He now had his game face on. That feather would be his!
Earlier, Jaykit had been re-reorganizing his tiny "pretty pile" when he heard someone offer to entertain the kits with mossball. At first, he hadn't been so interested at the idea of playing with a piece of moss and was about to move his focus back onto more important things, but the more kits joined, the harder the urge to not scamper behind them became. The prize became the last straw, and Jaykit currently finds himself with a cleaned-up pile and out with the other kits in less than a minute.
He wondered if his sister would join as well.
Sauntering up to the growing gaggle of kits, Jaykit absentmindedly waved his tail in greeting to those he passed.
"Ello." he meowed out, eyes scouting out the competition.
Mintkit yawned, standing up. "Fine," He mewed. "The feather is pretty and I want it. I will destroy you all!"

Dovekit had been watching a small swarm of gnats intently when the kits first started gathering, but when she noticed that Jaykit had padded up to them, she left the bugs and bounded over, tiny tail curled in greeting.
"What's going on over here?" she asked, half to her brother and half to the others.

"Doves!" he purred with a twitch of his whiskers. "Dunno exactly what's going on now, but that apprentice—" he signaled to Willowpaw, "—is gonna hold a mossball competition soon and there's a neat prize too, a pretty feather. It ain't shiny or cool cool but I do think it'd look nice in my Pretty Pile."
He gave her an easygoing grin and shrugged. "Imma join in. You wanna try it out too? S'gonna be fun either way."
Mintkit grabbed a wad of moss and balled it up, throwing it at Willowpaw.

A red and brown tortie tom with orange and green heterochromia and a black banded tail. He's goofy and has a higher pitched voice than most toms. Mated to Hollownight.
A pale blue tom with a yellowish tail and a brown mask. He's blind in his right eye, and is basically a slightly less pissy Jayfeather. Only slightly though. He likes Limepaw alongside Applepaw, making him part of the fruit polycule, despite Mint being a plant.
