How?! The she-cat's expression grew bitter as she noticed the one covered in mud. She was pretty sure that it was Houndkit. Why he was covered in mud she couldn't say or care to know, she just knew it would take forever to clean from his long coat. So so long....ugh! The next things she had to cover with her children were the dos and don'ts. She couldn't even yowl at her kits since she hadn't told them not to play in the mud or not climb the Grimpeak.
Then there was Weepingkit who she was starting to think needed a buddy at all times. The poor thing looked utterly lost, but as he wasn't in danger Dawnstar left him be. If he didn't calm himself down she'd check on him after she was done with the meeting. Or hope that her more responsible kits came and got him. Venomkit was yowling about something, since she left her with Mistlewhisker it was the deputy problem to deal with for now. She'd talk to the troublemaker later about her behavior during meetings.
"Midnightkit, Lightningkit, and Hollowkit," Dawnstar noted they were missing Thrushkit but wasn't waiting any longer, "from this day until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Midnightpaw, Lightningpaw, and Hollowpaw." She halted to stare at Tigerkit.
"Since ShadowClan already has an apprentice named Tigerpaw, Tigerkit, from this day until you receive your warrior name, you'll be known as Lionpaw. Your mentor will be Cloverpool. Hawkbite, you'll mentor Hollowpaw. Darkleaf you are Lightningpaw's mentor. Redleaf you're Midnightpaw's mentor." She told them. The cats were given a moment to meet, greet, and move out of the way because it was time for the next ceremonies.
"I, Dawnstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the warriors' way and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Spiderpaw, Bitternpaw, and Flashpaw, do you promise to protect and serve this Clan, even at the cost of your lives?" #shcmeeting
Lightingpaw looks up as his name is given. He finally is an apprentice. He felt proud of himself, and he gave a large smile. so very happy to be trained as a warrior. even if he doesn't know who it is personally. excited to meet his mentor the tom rose to his paws and ran over energetically, he's not even sure what he was doing as he located them.
he approached the cool-looking cat looking up before giving a friendly smile "Uhm...hello." he spoke softly but friendly nonetheless " When do we start?" he asked sitting and trying to look bigger than he was. he wanted his mentor to know hes confident.

The loss of warmth and a few extra bodies disturbed the formerly slumbering kit. Huge orange eyes sleepily watched the tail end of his siblings leave their den. It was Momster's home, but since he and his siblings lived here it was their den too. Confused, and not wanting to be left behind, Weepingkit scrambled to his paws and scurried out of the nest and den.
"Wait for weeping, coming too, am I." His muzzle and nose collided with the ground a few times as walking was still difficult for him, but he made it outside. Oh boy! The scents were the first thing he noticed, strong and so many new ones. Everything had this pine-like scent, but underneath it were unique smells that belonged solely to individual cats. It was amazing.
The actual cats, however, spooked the living daylight out of him. Weepingkit's eyes watered, his fur bristled and his back arched, attempting to be as intimidating as a kitten could be with tears leaking down his fluffy cheeks. No one was looking at him, all he saw was the backs of cats of all shades and sizes, attention on Momster who stood above them.
He knew better than to mewl or try to catch the leader's attention, she looked busy. He's learned to be quiet when cats visit their den and Momster is busy. Maybe he should go back to... siblings! He swore he saw the brown pelt of one of his littermates and hurried in that direction, he didn't want to be alone. He quickly found himself lost in the forest of cats that were gathered, he ran into someone's hindleg and jumped spooked and spat at them before darting off in another direction only to step on another cat's tail which had him jumping and spitting again.
This became a reoccurring problem until he eventually found himself chasing his tail and weeping utterly lost. The panic kitten just wanted to find someone he knew.
One of the last to leave the den and start exploring the new world, Scorpionkit made her appearance at the mouth of the den. Amber eyes blinking to adjust to the bright sunshine, the Ringleader of the children squinted upwards at her mama before looking around at the gathering cats. Something important happening? Something interesting. Ohhh, and her siblings were already wandering about!!
Waddling on unsteady legs, she approached the gathered cats, keeping quiet when mama was talking, just as she did when cats visited the den. It looked like cats were gathering in front of her, ready for something. When mama was quiet, she cleared her throat and made sure everyone was aware she was here. "HI MAMA! PARASITE HERE!" That's what mama called them: Parasites. She had another name... Sco- scip- You know what, it didn't matter. Her mama knew and now her clanmates would too.
Then, a certain hissing and spitting caught her attention. Tiny ears swirled aggressively to pinpoint it and the kitten waddled through the crowed. "AHEM, 'SCUSE ME!! COMIN' THRU!" Scorpionkit would step on toes and tails if they didn't move as she made her way to her sibling. "Weeping! Weeping! C'mere! I save you!" the molly continued to scream.
When Scorpionkit was able to find her sibling, she was attempt to lead them away from the crowd to sit on the edge. If Weepingkit wouldn't walk, then Scorpionkit would lay on top of them, hoping that squishing the kit would bring them back to their senses.

Emberkit had heard the grumblings of her siblings when Mother got up to do something, but they themself had been content to curl up around their more needy siblings to keep them quiet while Mother did what she had to do. But she hadn't been expecting to hear Mother call for the clan. Her siblings toddled out of the den one by one, Emberkit following curiously (read: cautiously) behind. Venomkit and Adderkit started by climbing and sitting near the giant dry tree remnant respectively, then Weepingkit began to panic down below in the crowd. Emberkit sighed, watching as Venomkit and Adderkit were foisted on Not Mother. Emberkit herself carefully slithered down from Mother's den into the crowd, seeking Weepingkit. She was still small, even though she was large for her age, and it was pretty difficult to weave through all the cats to get to her brother.
Luckily (?) for him, a familiar voice interrupted whatever Mother was conducting, screaming about heading for Weepingkit. Emberkit grimaced, hurrying his little pawsteps to reach Weepingkit at the same time as Scorpionkit. "Quiet," she hissed to her sister, fixing Scorpionkit with a severe look. "Mother is talking. Come, Weeping." Emberkit nudged their brother with a gentle nose, urging him towards Mistlewhisker. "Scorpion, too." Even though she had hissed at her sister, Emberkit nosed Scorpionkit's shoulder gently as well. "To Venom and Adder."

Oh, Bitternpaw was getting his ceremony? That's good for him... Cinderpaw remembers her quick spar with him a moon-ish ago. He was a good cat, he'd make a good warrior. Soon... maybe soon Cinderpaw would be ready? She isn't sure. Rookfire is a good mentor, though, he'll pass her when he thinks she's ready for it. She just... she just wishes momma would be there to see it.
Another new apprentice, great. Was this one going to go missing like the last... four he'd received. Hawkbite had a knack for being assigned the troublesome apprentices or those that didn't have motivation and wound up running off or getting themself killed. He was growing dreary of them, minding them no specific time and putting them in the classes he ran. Was that where he was going wrong? He'd hadn't done much one-on-one time with any of them since... since... Starrywisp. Claw tips scraped the ground at the memory before his thoughts were broken by the presence of the newbie.
Green eyes only shifted slightly to look at Hollowpow, familiarizing himself with the figure before some strange tingling in his back sent his fur bristling. He'd cast a glance over his shoulders, looking for the source, only to land on an oddly familiar frame looking lost in the crowd. Older, but familiar... why?
Oh, right, the task at hand. He'd settle his fur then address Hollowpaw. "We can start with a tour once the meeting is done, if you're ready for that," Hawkbite commented. The warrior ceremonies intrigued him, a familiar apprentice standing at the front and answering first. His eyes glowed with pride for him. You'll make an excellent warrior, Bittern.

➢ The fresh Apprentice listens to her mentor, clearly intrigued as her ears perked to attention. Territory Tour...that worked fine. They didn't exactly have plans beyond finding or making a nest in the Apprentice's den. Hollowpaw nods before replying quietly (as to not disturb the on-going ceremonies), head turning to look at the brown tabby, "Yes, that's fine..." A faint expression of excitement showing through in her voice before it trailing off into soft murmurs about training and the requirements needed for her Warriorship, a topic that Hollowpaw found interesting.
The black and white cat had also noticed the Enforcer's fur shift and the look over his shoulder, causing Hollowpaw to look up from their paws and casting a quizzical glance in the same direction as her mentor did previously. Only to find an older cat in the area...Ibispaw, correct? They could be mistaken, they knew names of the cats in this place, not so much pelt colors.... Hollow would have to come back to that one a different time when she heard someone else address the other cat and confirm her ideas.
