Directions! The medicine cat was in a state of panic at the reveal that the heat had brought on fire- would it be like the fire before? The one that Crowtooth had to build the Warren for? The one that had Miss Lightningstorm separated from her mentor? The one that forced Windclan’s out of their old camp… the blond was called over to Miss Lightningstorm for something. And he was quick to bound over and stop in front of her in wait. Volunteers? He didn’t know what was quite planned for him but he would try his absolute best!

Crowtooth's trust in her was almost more than she could stand. It was something of an honor to be given a responsibility most skilled warriors might shy away from, but she was up to the challenge. She's quick, she's agile, and by StarClan she's got the bravery and tenacity to spare. His warning not to get hurt, not to fail, is not something the senior apprentice is taking lightly. She's proving her place among WindClan's warriors with this even if no one realizes.

She gathers, ready to set out for the falls, expression perhaps more grim than usual, but her shoulders are set and she's ready. This will not be something she fails at, the whole of WindClan depends on it.

She feared the chaos they caused once they were up and moving. "Ashkit, if you don't mind keeping an eye on Cedarkit and Jaggedkit, I don't need a kitten fight." It was one thing if they were just playing, fighting might lead to accident injuries and until Firestorm showed up to tell her brood to behave, Leopardsong was on prevention duty.

So many kits and it appeared the queens had seemed more interested in watching over only their group of kits. "I can help if you need an extra pair of eyes." Dreamlight's dry sarcasm washed over the queen as the blind she-cat padded over. Leopardsong offered her an unseen smile and directed her to the kits inside the den.

"You can help Cottonkit mind your siblings. They are not pleased about not being fed and seem to be taking it out on each other. I would feed them but I'm a bit busy. Try laying with them and licking, they might settle." Leopardsong advised. Dreamlight wasn't comfortable with the idea, but padded into the nursery to assist, mindful of the kits under paw.

Ashkit nodded thrice, once for each suggestion. “Siblings? What do you— oh” he said after realising she meant the other cats raised by the queen. “Sure, I’ll try to do that.” he said with a smile. Ashkit was happy to do anything that could help reduce the queens pressure. Ashkit turned around and searched for the kits, his ‘siblings’ — Ashkit wasn’t sure he wanted to use this term for perfectly unknown kits — and went towards them.

Frostkit

Frostkit wasn’t surprised when his victim turned around with fire. Though he didn’t really expect to get into a full fight, other than Jaggedkit, many kittens tended to just cry and tell adults. Honestly, the idea of fighting someone other than his siblings had him grinning with and crouching down as he watched the other kit circle him. Well- this just turned boring. Normally, Jaggedkit would just fight back and not do whatever this “fighting” was. Frostkit flicked an ear as he heard Strawberrykit’s call from their nest, but he was a little busy so in just a moment.

Then as though his previous thoughts had summoned his brother, Jaggedkit appeared and attacked the older kitten with a bite to the paw! Frostkit let out an excited squeal and hopped in place just once! This was new and exciting!!! Maybe Jaggedkit and Frostkit could wrestle later offer this but wrestling on the same team wasn’t something Frostkit had considered doing. Frostkit bounded forward in the next second, running full speed, and striking out with clumsy paws as Frostkit got close enough to hit.

Cedarkit was surprised when Jaggedkit bit down on his paw, and he hissed out in pain. Wiggling his paw up and down, he attempted to throw off the smaller kit, tail lashing as he stumbled backwards. What was happening? First he was bitten by a kit, and now he was being bitten by another kit! Was this an ambush? Of course, then he noticed Frostkit coming over.

He stumbled once more as Frostkit struck him, finally collapsing onto the ground. How could he be losing to two kits that were younger than him?! This was beyond embarassing.

"Hey, heyyy! Stop it!"

The older kit was struggling to fight back, snapping at the younger kits in an attempt to land a bite. He wasn't against fighting another kit, no matter how young they were!

Vinepaw watched as rabbit paw was called over and he gave a curt nod he knew time was of the essence before long he heard his name and several others he quickly got to his paws and padded over. Each step many thoughts ran through his mind what would he need to do he knew his tunneling abilities may be the reason but he would have to wait and see. Once there he looked around at the cats who had been called ah bouncepaw and lightning paw were here good he trusted them he would have to look out for bouncepaw the younger apprentice made him worry slightly. So they would be going out. He nodded and took a breath he moved over to lightningpaw “Looks like we’re working together nervous?” He asked while trying to not look nervous himself.

He looked around and motioned for bouncepaw to come over he really wanted to stick with him he felt like if he was there he could at least look out for the blonde apprentice “You ready?”he asks while looking towards the front

Whisperinghive nodded at his instructions, seeing Vinepaw and Leechscar. Putting out fires couldn't be that hard... Right? Just think of the flames like the scorch. The scorch was always there, burning inside of him, but it couldn't hurt him. The fire can't hurt him. It won't. The fires were small(ish), and with enough cats, the flames would die out quickly. Just dig around the fire so they can't go anywhere. All they had to do was stall the flames, surely nothing could go wrong with that. Surely..? Whisperinghive didn't have time to spare by being injured! He had siblings and a mother to care for. The orange tom hadn't realized how much of a mother Leopardsong was to him for the longest time, and he felt horrible about that. But Whisperinghive would make up for it by being the best older brother and son ever!
