The days old kitten awakens from his slumber when the largest source of warmth leaves. He lets out an angry little squeak, squirming around in the nest in an attempt to find food because that has to be the reason he was woken up!

But no! There's no food!! Peachkit starts to let out louder and angrier squeaks, his tiny paws flailing against his siblings as he protests the lack of food.

A thump hit her in the stomach and then the crying started. That's it! That is so it! She was done. Done with what you asked? Being a good sibling and not kick others; not that she's done any sibling-like things. What do siblings even do? Nevermind, back on track. Rookkit was angry, she didn't know who was kicking and flailing around but it needed to stop, so she she just kicked in the direction the paws came from.

Hopefully, that teaches them a lesson.

Bravekit didn't understand why she was being thumped about but she was ready to THROW PAWS!

She squirmed angrily and raised her paws to bap in the direction of the unwanted touches. They were neither the Mega Warmth or the Food Depositor and therefore they could. BUZZ! OFF!

Mama’s voice was so soothing, her frantic licks pulling the worries straight from his brain like worms. Her words echoed through the frightened pipsqueak filling him with purpose. Look after the other kittens and Twilightstar’s kits. He couldn’t let Leopardsong down, ever. The small tom pulled himself up, puffing out his tiny chest.

“O..of course Mama”, Cottonkit’s words were jumbled but rung with confidence. He’d look to the task at hand and everything would be just fine. He padded deeper into the nursery, filled with bravery and pride. Maybe he could be strong after all, he glanced at the small bundles of fur. It was hard to imagine himself being that small once.

”I..it’s okay little o..ones, I’ve gotcha”, leaning forward to gently stare at them, focusing in on Orchidkit. The little cream tom who’s tail had just been bitten, ouch. ”D..don’t bite Coyotekit, y..you only get one s..set of siblings”, Cottonkit did have new ones now he supposed with Mama’s new kits. But his ones by blood he never had the chance to get acquainted with, he wondered if they were okay. Wherever they might be.
